Just finished the two part show on Netflix, he was a train wreck. For sure he was funny and charismatic, but it’s a front.

Claims to be sober for 8 years now. Hopefully he doesn’t follow the same pattern if his popularity grows again.

I made this thread in response to some of the divisive circular political discussion that was occuring in the original Random Chat Thread and come back to see it basically morph back into that.

Sad to see people that you would mostly consider decent well meaning people repeatedly argue about the same things over and over.

Wondering if I should have just called it 'Lighthearted shit posting and memes thread'.

Mate, (with as much respect as I have) just because you don't agree with him, doesn't mean he's wrong.

As I said, most of what he believed was religion-inspired. Does that automatically suggest he's a clown (yeah to me) but he didn't deserve to be shot. It's plain to see the world is falling apart, that people write disparaging remarks about the dead because he is right-wing, tells you all you need to know.

For a non-college graduate, he did well to speak at the Oxford Union. They don't invite idiots unless your name is Mehdi.
