Was picked up by hawks and delisted end of the year. Now in Carlton VFL. If he was any good they wouldn't have got Battle & Barrass.

I believe Freo are picking directly after us, if he is still on the board we need to take him.

If he is on the board at our pick I can't see a world where we don't pick him. The biggest question will come if he and Dovaston are both available.

That’s the biggest toss up for me as well. Definitely an argument of best fit vs best available. I wonder how the club sees it.

Are they good enough that you’d do a draft night trade to move our F1 forward into this draft to get both - forgetting whether we want to hold future picks for a Butters trade, matching El Souki / West / Cooney if the rules allow?

Depending on whether we get a trade done this year for key defender, I'd be happy to have two picks at around 14-16. It wouldn't suprise me if we traded out of this draft completely, it also wouldn't suprise me if we went the opposite way and had two picks in the teens.
There are lots of variables this year, clubs are pushing the AFL to give them clarity around next year's acadamy and father sons before this trade period which could have huge implications (no point carlton/Ess/Port pushing picks into next year).
Should we attract a top line Key defender and a small defender we very well could just take a mature ager late, match Darcy and upgrade JOD.

Sullivan Robey is a real gem. Watched him live for the first time yesterday, looks massive and I certainly see the hype. Has the potential to be the best player in the draft. He would be too hard to pass up if he's somehow available.

Liked the look of Oskar Taylor as well who I haven't seen talked about much on here. Very quick with a nice long penetrating left foot. Better then average defensively, competitive in the air and at ground level. Can see him being in contention at our first pick and a JJ replacement.

Bringing next year's pick forward is actually a great ploy in regards to the Butters pursuit.
It would make Port more inclined to take the compo pick rather than matching and taking whatever picks we could cobble together for a trade.
Obviously very dependant on where they finish but it could be say 1 top 10 pick versus a future first and a couple of seconds.
Maybe we could orchestrate another lopsided trade to help convince them to take the compo also.

Unless our deal is one that they cannot match financially. Wonder if heavily front loading a deal will price them out? If the first year is north of 1.5 million.

If Essendon don’t go for him and instead pursue Hustwaite, they’d have to be insane
The Elijah Tstas to North idea is also insane because if he was any good he’d be playing; their midfield is plain af bad
