Just watched the highlights package of a prelim final between the Royals and Claremont from our alignment years - five ex-eagles playing for EP - Lycett, A. Selwood, Morton, a young Cripps and Brad Smith. Strange seeing them running around in the blue and black. Morton reminds me of Duursma. He was talented, but just couldn't put on weight or strength.

Correction.There were five Eagles players playing but not Brad Smith.
Never played at East Perth.The Smith that played for East Perth Was Josh Smith former West Perth and North Melbourne player. The fifth Eagles player was Blayne Wilson.

Ok, I must admit the Smith one had me a little confused. I knew it wasn't the Brad Smith of the 70s, who was originally out of Boyanup, [I know as I played against him as a junior] but was thinking of the later Brad Smith who unfortunately did his knee in - if I recall correctly, was out of Subi. Josh Smith, I am not familiar with, don't remember him.
Ahhhh! Too many Smiths - such a common name.
