Speaking of May’s…

I would have C4 up there as having the best mail on this site.
Who would go for him? Dogs seem vocally disinterested.

I’ll wait for a good source. Imagine this being our big fish. Oh the melts. Imagine how much more coverage in media May moments would get. Anything on a path from Melbourne though Carlton has serious credibility concerns. Waiting. Smiling.

Proven track record? I don’t care about May but this is the person who said Jordy is retiring end of year which was a big WTF for me.

Between:

  • McStay 2 more years
  • Membrey 1 more year
  • Cox allegedly 1 more year
  • Charlie West
  • McCarthy
  • Buller

Checkers becomes surplus at that point and his body appears to be deteriorating a little quicker than we’d like

Like Tay, if he wants a 3 year security blanket then I’m not gonna begrudge him taking it. Unlike Tay, Checkers is a Premiership Pie so get that bag Checkers
I'd rather trade McStay and keep Brody.

I don’t see it linked to checkers at all.

He’s been identified to play the 2nd ruck role.
Not really that hard to work out. Cox departs, Checkers departs, we use Buller as forward/ruck, McStay full time forward and Membrey.

Then we’d probably have West, McCarthy and Steene developing in the forward line of the VFL. Howes potentially moved to defence to avoid being top heavy. Alternatively Howes remains forward, and Steene/Smit rotate forward/defence to train for the Cameron role of dropping back to help the defensive 6.

I never saw that one which would have been a black mark. We’ll see on this one I guess, but if true May has a suitor.

I really like Brody. Would hope he stays, gets medical support, selection rests and on field support from team mates. There is a limit to the $$$ and length. Where Brody contributes on a consistent level, McStay is more difficult. His run and the structure he provides can change our team. I fear his injury periods have altered what he can provide. Hmmm Buller is just a new toy.
