Does absolutely nothing for me.He is a peculiar player Jy Simpkin - always feels like one of those guys that should be better than what he has dished out. Most North people I've spoken too feel like he's always performed better playing a genuine midfield role, doesn't seem to have the speed or class to strive as a HFF type where he's often been shunted out to. I feel like he could be a solid midfield option for us - nice mix of an inside/outside type, the hold up for me is the money and contract - a contract he certainly only got as North had literally no one to pay so guys like him were able to earn much more than another club would have provided
If we could get away with a deal of a "decent" pick (from our perspective) and North paying 25% of his alleged $1m a year a contract, I think he could be a serviceable piece within our aging midfield. Paying an early pick or absorbing the whole of that contract is an absolute no-no though imo
Hilarious2nd rounder? lol he's played 10 games as a MSD player.
3rd or 4th rounder.

He's OOC, a fringe player, They dont have much choice.Hilarious
Lower the better
They’ll want higher than 4 th
has lacked in aerial marking to me. Has a lot of good other traits for a tall KPD. Good idea to me.On Buller the idea of mobile young talls appeals. The issue will be developing them all and good exposure in the VFL. The situation of Howes being at the club for 2 seconds and heading down back does my head in. Miles to go yet.
Might explain why Cox is staying on the list in 2026
We gave up more for Sam Murray and he barley played AFL2nd rounder? lol he's played 10 games as a MSD player.
3rd or 4th rounder.
Sounds goodHe's OOC, a fringe player, They dont have much choice.
Lets put it this way.We gave up more for Sam Murray and he barley played AFL
Agreed - he does just seem very "vanilla" without any real discernable trait that sets him apartDoes absolutely nothing for me.
Yeah he sounds perfect for Saints.Agreed - he does just seem very "vanilla" without any real discernable trait that sets him apart
As I said he'd be a "nice/solid" piece in a midfield - but you don't pay early picks or $1m pa to such a player unless you happen to have only one flag in 150 years...

For those playing at home I assume this is Simpkin.Doesn't get a lot of the ball, abt 12 kicks a game.
Doesn't tackle much, 3-4 a game
Doesn't hit the scoreboard, averaging less than 1
Apart from that, all good

Lower second rounder could be around pick 40Lets put it this way.
Campbell Chesser, was a first round pick, has played 18 games; is expected to be traded for a 3rd round pick.. Somewhere in the 40's according to Gettable.
We paid a pick in the 40's
I just like young talls to get a level of stable development. It all may not matter, it could have been a final assessment.has lacked in aerial marking to me. Has a lot of good other traits for a tall KPD. Good idea to me.
Nice to have $300k free in our salary cap

Correct me if I'm wrong (and apologizes if this has been covered earlier) but isn't he out of contract and a rookie listed player? Aren't rookie listed players automatic UFA, or is that only if you've been delisted?I can see us Saying we trade 3rd rounder for Buller then Swans say no we want a 2nd Rounder then we wait what other trades will look like
As Points also needed
