People are being a bit harsh on the Hawks imo. Going back 100 years in AFL it seems pretty uncommon that the Premiership winner is a team that has not sat in the top part of the ladder for a few years. Also the reason Adelaide and Gold Coast got knocked out pretty quick.

Takes years of finals experience, heartbreak to galvanize and strengthen a team, and being able to play under that kind of pressure. The remaining teams - Geelong, Pies, Lions have been playing finals for the past 5 to 10 years consistently, and all of them have won grand finals in the past 5 years so it's no surprise they are all here at this point. Hawks next step will be to make top 4 in the next 1 to 2 years.

Geez handbag fans are arrogant, trying to justify the softest run home the competitions ever seen.

Not surprising though, Max Holmes the smug campaigner said after a round 11 win over the Dogs, ‘Well that’s finals locked in for us now’.
He knew how soft the draw home was as much as the rest of the footy world did, yet Cats fans argue against it with rubbish like Sydney were the form team of the competition when we played them
Astonishing really

They won’t have been tested like they will be tomorrow night, in months.

Turns out we had right to be ay?

Look at their list... he poaches better than he coaches. It is the same as their last tilt at the flag... they just steal talent from other clubs. It is actually pathetic.
He was coached by Clarkson.

Who managed to snag Lake, Gibson, Gunston, Guerra, Hale, McEvoy.

He’s only trying to win for his club

Mate no matter how much money , or lawyers you have, the rules clearly stipulate that Ton Stewart cannot play next week.
You need to deal with that and move on.

We play alright without him actually.
3-1 this year and we certainly didn't miss his output tonight.

As good as Tom has been, 32 years of age, his days are numbered.

O'Sullivan & De Koning are going to forge a formidable partnership for the next decade.
