From the perspective of a supporter a team not involved in the trade I'll predict the AFL giving a compensation pick 19 on the condition it has to are traded. That's what they did with North two seasons ago. Eg giving therm extra picks that had Ito be traded as extra draft concessions. Brisbane will get pick 19 then as compensation via a trade set up by the AFL.

Who is Brisbane poaching?

WC chose not to keep Allen because they want pick 2…in fact, they want Brisbane to actively help them get pick 2 for Allen

Getting lucky with some father sons isn’t assistance…or at least it wasn’t when Geelong or Collingwood did it

That’s the point I’m trying to make, I don’t see pick 19 for Starcevich in isolation as a win for WC. I would guess a package of later picks totalling points equal to a late first rounder would be better for WC, and still be a win for Brisbane.

The comments on here are rather that WC should hand over pick 19 or either lose pick 2 or forget about Starcevich. That’s hardly win-win.

The victim complex of the West Coast supporters in here is all time. The club has been run into the ground by list bosses, coaches, players, high performance staff and a lack of leadership. Why on earth you’d bring in Pyke to run your club after the camp fiasco is beyond me.

The reason we have made finals for seven straight years hasn’t been academies, it’s having had strong leadership and administration.

The Ashcroft boys, Fletcher and Marshall have only come in the last couple of years. Explain the other 4-5 years.

You’re lucky a player of Starcevich’s calibre is wanting to join your club, considering how poorly run it is.

Hand over a first round pick, or early second and just enjoy watching a player who can actually play football run around in the blue and yellow.
