Is that how it works? I.e. if p2 get seats then all p1 who nominated seats only have seats? Wasnt sure if thats the case or not.

It is. P1 are guaranteed tickets, no matter what they choose. P1's should always choose seat only, unless they like standing.

Yes & No

P1 members (Social Club, 1859, Premiership Membership), are guaranteed access to purchase a grand final ticket should Geelong be participating

There's no mention of a guarantee of a seat or location of where the ticket will be, just that it guarantees a ticket

As per the ballot resource guide, P1 can also lose that guarantee:

* Any Social Club, 1859, Premiership Membership who does not register under the correct priority group or instead elect to register within the Priority Two or Priority Three will have waived their right to a guaranteed ticket. It does not matter what time you register during the designated timeframe as all registrations will be randomised to determine the order in which tickets will be allocated.

At the time of registration, members can elect not to receive Standing Room ticket(s), however if all members in your group are able to stand for the duration of the day, we strongly recommend all members select Option 1 – ‘I will accept the best available ticket – including Standing Room’ at the time of registering to retain guaranteed (Priority 1) access to a Grand Final ticket.

That second point gives an out on a technicality if a P1 says no to standing room

It is guaranteed up until they get over 17k P1 members to completely fill the club's allocation. Except the club would never do that, because then P1 wouldn't be a guaranteed ticket anymore. You will never find someone with P1, who selects seat only, missing out in the ballot.

It could happen depending on how the algorithm works.

Don’t worry about this guys. He wants over 1k per ticket.
Thanks for the heads up.
Anyone I've found is charging atleast double face value. I know it's a hot ticket but man it grinds me so many of us proper fans missed out & people are just here trying to make a buck off our desperation.

Just had a message from a pies fan. He tried to sell him a ticket for $2500 ‘on behalf of a mate’ back in 2023.

Cheers for the heads up - I've been trying to monitor sale & purchase posts, and where it's clear anything is going beyond the 10% permitted increase on face value, action is being taken as per the stickied post

Those of us lucky enough to have tickets aren't kidding ourselves when it comes to understanding how much folks without tickets want to get their hands on some - but we don't want to see others taken advantage of, nor others potentially starting bidding war type situations

Thank you to all our board members for flagging potential concerns which we've turned been able to take action where required

Is our cheer squad end M4? Level 1......That's where we've landed in the trusty wheelchair bay, behind the floggers I think.
Whatever, $$$$$ but happy days.

I've read M3 for our cheer squad

I'm hopeful that's accurate as I'm in M2, so if you're M4 it would be nice to think our cheer squad is in M3, otherwise they've decided for some reason to surround the Brisbane cheer squad with Geelong fans

LOL that reminds me went to a Bris v Port grand final many years ago with some 20 Bris fans in one row in an absolute scary sea of Pooort as far as the eye could see. They actually came and sat on the steps beside us and said they'd punch our lights out if we even spoke!
Sounds right - on the MCG drive around thingy M3 directly behind goals, M4 off to point post, but wheelchair seats are in M5 not M4. I can't tell you how much trouble I've had with TTK, just found out seat placement now.
So I've just given up, too much anxiety and will go wherever, and not even chase the overcharge.
Just want to be happy and grateful, but Geez they are crunts.

2009, I bought tickets to "that" match against St Kilda like the day before the match - turns out my seat was in the middle of the St Kilda members area, so must have been someone put it to for resale

There was one other Geelong fan the row in front and credit to the Saints fans as we worked it out so me and this other Geelong fan sat beside each other, surrounded by all of them

Felt totally out of place, but the vast majority of the Saints fans were good folk and we supported our teams in a friendly, banterful manner

Trying to sell a ticket I received via an AFL Event Office package mid year at retail price. Unfortunately not cheap ($2,045, which is less the Prelim Ticket - will provide receipts/invoice for proof). Appreciate you may be able to get a ticket for less, so if you can, go for it. Level 4, Row O. PM for details and I’ll email all the things.

Still one of my BigFooty regrets that I was overseas to that game and only woke up to the headlines. Even though we lost
