I gotta say on an individual level, after $800 a quarter bills circa 2021/22 I got a big solar panel set up (no battery) about 3 to 4 years ago and it paid itself off after about 22 months through no bills. We have a decent house and crank the a/c in summer.

The rest has been cake on top. I'm not paying for bills and on top of that making about $70 pm average over 12 months. Still on 11c FIT.

My timing and circumstances were perfect though and I knew it at the time. You couldn't do it now mainly due to installation costs almost doubling and feed in tarriffs dropping in most areas.

Wait till batteries are <$300 kWh before jumping in for the next sweet spot.

I have no issue with rooftop solar I have 6 kw on our roof , and I spent three year in the industry , but to believe that getting rid of trees to install large scale solar and wind is the answer is stupidity .

Germany was all in on the wind and solar but they found they couldn’t run the country and have now turned on Russian oil and gas .

China who supplies the green power stuff to,the world is building more and more coal fires stations, India is the same , meanwhile the enlightened countries are forcing their populations into the Stone Age
