Haven't followed thread, but how do we beat them? I agree, I think we can, with some improvement in the midfield by whatever means, + Maginness, hard tag, Ashcroft ... if he can hold Butters, then he''s key come finals time.

We rock up to the MCG with uzis.

They are all midfield and good defence and pretty poor offence.

So you don't let them kick goals from midfield and control their smalls.

There backline is beatable if forward fire.

Lions winning is almost as good as a hawks premiership. Sweet day to see the Cats cop an enormous bath. Hate to say this, although hawks are going to have to go hard or go home in this off season, trade for stars because we are about four gears off a grand final team version of Brisbane.

Brisbane will add Oscar Allen & Sam Draper as FA signings, and then get Hipwood, Payne, Berry, Coleman & Doedee back from injuries next year.

Great to see the cats crumble like that. They looked to be hanging on in the third before the lions kicked 3 and you could see the panic set in during the fourth and it all went pear shaped after that.

Looks were simply too good across the board. No need for heroes. They had many but they didnt need a Dangerfield like performance from last week to win. Will be tough to beat next year too.

Already there in hating them. Only thing which has made it slightly bearable these past 2 years is the opponent's they have beaten.

Other than that can't stand these bandwagoners and the gifts the AFL keeps giving them. You'd think we'd learnt from the last time they threepeated in taking away some of the concessions they had back then. History repeating itself, just be glad you're not up here to "enjoy" it.

I'm well and truly happy for the Fitzroy fans, they were absolutley shafted by the AFL.

Might be time to start sniffing around the lions, they are stacked for midfielders and likely going to face a squeeze for cap space as these you g guns mature and get even better (!)

Was a demolition after half time, Geelong got smacked in every measure and never looked a chance. You'd love to get a Fletcher or Bailey to the Hawks.
