14 + Rachele + Pedlar??

That’s some extra strength Heisenberg ultra blue meth they’re smokin over the border.

breaking bad series GIF

Keays strengths are completely nullified in finals.

He's hard running and ability to get into space just disappears. That's not about Keays specifically, that's just what finals are.

Everyone runs hard like their life depended on it and there is no space, for anyone.

If you take that out of Keays games he's someone with poor skills and and average decision making.

He is not a finals player, happy to have him in the squad.

Pedlar showed he had elite traits at the highest level and that is an indication of talent. As did Rachele when he came on. We need as many of those types as possible for finals.
Disagree. Hard workers that can hurt you are valuable in finals. What nullified Keays was that he was forced to be our number 1 half forward because Rankine and Rachele, two of our best players let alone our two best half-forwards, were out.

given recent trade periods Petracca will want confidence that a club is all in and can get a trade done

ATM GC having a dip at 4-5 players which might raise a red flag 🚩 for him and his manager

Interesting to see where Brisbane are after getting rid of Keays and Hinge.

GC seem to aiming up at several names - Curnow, JUH, Elliott and Petracca

Although Petracca has spoken with Hardwick - he has flown in to meet Adelaide and complete a medical.

Hopefully, Petracca sees that he is our number 1 target, however GC is having a dip a several players knowing they can only land one or two of there attempts.

No doubt his friendship with ANB helps, and Eddie’s wife loved Adelaide and the club even though the camp wasn’t a great chapter in what was a wonderful story for their family

Elliott is unrestricted free agent and JUH will be a minor deal, they won’t blow much time on it. And despite what David Noble had you believe, it is possible to be doing more than 1 trade at a time.

Suspect they are chasing JUH hard now it looks like Curnow prefers Geelong.

I disagree with this.

Hard work is only defined by your opposition. When they raise to your level, you are no longer the hard worker.

Everyone, considering the week off, are basically playing for their lives with a full tank and will run just as hard and be just as desperate as you are.

That's what finals are all about, leaving nothing in the petrol tank.

I would bet that smart clubs know this and even prepare their players accordingly.

This is not just true of Keays but it was true of ANB to a certain extent, however I think ANB has more things to rely on.

Only 1 of ANB and Keays can be in our finals side.

I don’t think JUH will be that minor - WB will won’t compo

Curnow desperately wants out and did sound out GC

Although Curnow prefers Geelong - his only way out could be GC who have the draft capital which Geelong doesn’t have

Curnow goes to GC of a deal can get done

Players don’t magically gain elite endurance once finals hits. It’s also not fair reducing Keays to a hard worker considering what he offers offensively.

He’s limited no doubt which is why he could never be your main half-forward. But he’s a great foil to Rash and Izak - we just never got to see that in finals.
