Noble’s only piece of trading brilliance. Getting Cats to include Gore for 50 to pollute the Danger trade to delay the outcome being obvious. Was amazing how the rainbows and lollipop brigade swallowed the ‘would go early 2nd in this years draft’ or ‘Cats were going to play him in the 1s next year’ garbage. Shit at a lot of things, knowing his rank and file audience wasn’t one of them.
so is Stevens that newer version of Gore?

I'd be happy to do a straight-swap for Hollands. The talent is clearly there with EH, and we have nothing to lose by taking a punt.
Please stop with this Hollands talk, we're not after going him, been thrown out of two clubs for unprofessionalism and known abuse on you know what (it rhymes with bloke)

Has to be the worst bit of trading the AFC have ever done. History should never be kind to Noble and whoever else was involved with this. The Gibbs trade of course a pretty close second.

MIlera should look at Zorko's finals series as a template for how he needs to play his position. WMJ is a senior player now, he has the skills, he just cant be a handoff player anymore, he needs to be aggressive off half back, make opposition teams uncomfortable.

Milera has a very low field of vision, no hope he turns into a player that can hit up long targets like Zorko can, or Smith used to.

AFL have received paperwork from Adelaide to review on terms of deal for Petracca. Not trade, but terms of offer. That means Petracca has agreed to terms should he chose Adelaide. Nothing submitted by Suns at this point.
I'm guessing this is what Anna stayed back in Adelaide for?

Is this so the AFL can know weather a club can afford the player within the salary cap?

I assume this document would say what we would be paying the player each year

Wrong Carey wrapped his knee/ shin around the post and henshals knee was smashed by a little price called Thomas from port Powa.
I still recall the surgeon who looked after Trent Hentschel said his injury looked like something you would expect from a bad car crash not a footy injury. Hentschel could have been anything in footy, and Thomas was just another Port Adelaide sniper from a long line of Port Adelaide snipers. Funny how the memory plays tricks on you. I rewatched the incident again and it was not the one I had in mind when I said that about Thomas. I was recalling an incident in a night game not a day game. Watching the Thomas tackling him I would have to agree it was just unlucky what happened.

Not sure why people still go with this
Thomas wasn't intending to wreck Hentschels knee, yeah he wanted to tackle him hard and that was his job , he certainly could not have foreseen the end result

Pretty sure - and happy to be corrected - that clubs are essentially a proxy for the AFL, because the players are technically contracted to the AFL. So any deal needs to get the tick from the AFL. Also, the AFL scrutinises trades, so they need to be across contract terms.

It not necessarily the long target, its more the 25m hit up and overlap run that id love to see from Wayne.

Yep, even a 25-30m from a R50 to just backwards of centre circle can open up the entire width of the forward half and cause chaos for the defense. And yet how often does this method go un-used, even with a group of 80% of the players crammed out on the wing on one side

You could at least argue Reid had his hands tied somewhat with Gibbs because he got told by Fagan "You can't leave without getting the deal done"

From all reports Geelong went "We want to underpay for Danger" and Noble went "No probs, mate!" and didn't press any further.
