Point is more for some reason Adelaide again didn't qualify for one despite being pretty shit, compared to literally every club getting one in the same situation.

29-55 from 2020 - 2023.

11-91 from 2022 - 2025.

No need to confirm who is who 🤭

If another club has a similarly poor record over 4 years in the future, then yep, they would qualify you would think and there certainly wouldn’t be an argument against from our end.

11-91 is a very good record I'd say

Oh sorry you're telling me the 91 isn't the wins column?

We absolutely should have done this but we were so caught up on sticking with a winning formula and a Coach that was desperate to make finals to keep his job.

Charlie Edwards absolutely should have played some AFL footy this year
We used 37 players this year, which was also the AFL average. Geelong used 31, Hawthorn 35, Collingwood 35 and Brisbane 36.

Whatever happens with Petracca, Ah Chee and co it's nice to be a participant in trade period.

Felt like we sat on our hands a bit in previous seasons. A bit cautious. Got shocked into action during the poor 2018-2022 period. Dawson, Rankine followed. Even feels like there's been a slight mindset change since the poor 2024 season. We realised we have to be aggressive. Organic growth no longer cuts it.

So is Zac Bailey definitely off the table?

I'd gladly give all the Petracca collateral to get Bailey

I don't think Bailey was realistically ever on the table ......the chit-chat is only because he was a Sth Aust boy coming into Free Agency

My friends wife is very close with his family in Adelaide, I’ve asked for all the goss. She said he’s made no choices but with two flags already and big coin around would be looking at it all. Confirmed Dons had been in touch with him already throughout the season. Won’t be leaving this year that’s 100%

Darwin originally, just schooled in Adelaide while playing U18's at Norwood.

If Melb wants a top 10 pick, apparently the Blues are offering up their TDK pick so they can get points for Cody Walker

Adel get: Petracca, F2 (Melb)
Carl get: F1 (Adel)
Melb get: 10, 16

I'm confused - where are Picks 10 and 16 coming from to go to Melb and what is Carlton giving up to receive the Crows' F1 which might be 12 or even 18?

I think its pretty simple,
we do what every other club does, and not offer any best 22 players in a deal.
It'll be draft picks and possibly a fringe player. That's it.
Bleating for the likes of Fogarty, Soligo, or Rachele to be involved makes for great Trade Radio and SEN discussion, but it is not reality.

Q. When was the last time a contracted Best 22 player was pushed out of their club to lure another player?

How many played around 1 game (or 4 quarters).

We didn't have a core of around 28 players that we were rotating to keep the squad frash.
