They will find a better deal than this. This is west coast fan fantasy.
Maybe, although who’s offering a F1 and a pick around 20 for 10 this year?

They need that pick around 20 to match a Dean bid regardless.

Essendon won’t offer their F1, Freo won’t as they’ll likely need it, GC would lose 10 anyway, Hawks probably use their f1 as part of a Merrett trade, Doubt Geelong give a f1 to move up 7 places, port might hold out hope they need a f1 for Cochrane.

Only competing teams I see with the right picks are North and Dees.

North may do 21 and a f2, Dees 24 and f1 with something coming back.

Think the eagles offer would be around the mark.

Honestly, we should JTS with pick one and wait for the offers for pick 2.

Now Robey is hot property and duursma CDT still on the board, what's Essendon willing to do to get ahead of tigers.

Now also, assuming we upgrade to pick 8 from suns.

Trade 2 for 5 10 still preserves 6 7 for bombers

1 WC sharp
2 ess Robey
3 tigs duursma
4 tigs taylor
5 WC cumming
6 ess Greeves
7 ess CDT
8 WC Schubert
9 saints grjl/farrow
10 WC farrow/grjl

Any trade that results in those kids being picked I’m all in on. Interesting comments by Pyke today that we’re looking at mids with the top picks.

Might quieten some of the CDT noise.

Probably not.
If the club has a hand in it then they are doing exactly what they should be doing which is to make other teams think we are taking Duursma then CDT.

I do wonder if CDT tests well for his leap and has grown to over 200cm that the new ruck rules might sway us to selecting him ahead of a pure midfielder.

Also has anyone been able to shed some light on like…why the **** this campaigner wants to come to us? He’s not from WA, he’s already getting good minutes on a shit team, Richmond lifted their offer when this all came out.

Have we just been nominated by the stupidest person in football?
I’d guess that he’s good mates with Baker and Graham..

Doesn’t make sense to take sharp with 1 and trade 2. May as well just trade 1 for maximum value (even if the end outcome is the same)

That being said I really hope we take duursma

Yes I wonder if its duursma/sharp or duursma/robey. If we get another top 10 pick i think they go early on farrow
If essendon get Zane duursma from norf during the trade period i can see will duursma playing the stay home card .

This is where we need to maximise trade value . It wont be a case of us vs essendon but essendon vs carlton vs Melbourne for pick 1 .

Bidding war 🤷

Drafting Sharp #1 would be a poor use of resources IMO. Not that I doubt his ability as a player but he's not anywhere close to a #1 pick. There's a chance he wouldn't even go top 5. If Duursma is widely regarded as the top prospect and, say, Essendon want to make sure they get him then just trade pick 1 for the best ransom that you can get.

Based on what? A few good weeks?

Hell no.
Robey projects to be potentially elite. The issue is, we already have a better version of him in Reid and Hewett plays in a similar manner also.

Would be a very unbalanced group, unless his talent is too hard to ignore.

I'm not sure it is.

My big concern on Robey is his sample size as being elite is smaller as he's a late late bolter and his weaknesses are weaknesses we aren't short on.

I agree, so unbalanced.
I'd honestly rather take CDT.

North Melbourne utility Zane Duursma would consider a fresh start elsewhere if a rival club such as Essendon made a bold play to poach him next week.
The number four draft pick has endured a disappointing start to his career over his first two seasons, averaging only seven disposals across his first 23 AFL games.

But Duursma, 20, has emerged as a potential wildcard in Essendon’s Zach Merrett conundrum as the Bombers hunt some top-line prospects including Gold Coast’s Sam Flanders to bolster the side for 2026.

Yep. Duursma x3 round one has a feel good thing about it. Can't read it, but I presume it's Merrett to Hawks, Hawks 1st rounders to north, duursma to bombers with other pick involved.

1 only for 5 and 8.

Upgrade to get suns pick

2 5 7 8
