I love that we can be excited for the challenge of a three Pete within our grasp. A LOT has to go right, but it makes next season all the more exciting.

I was pleasantly surprised that most of the boys mentioned in interviews post game and the day after that they are keen to back it up next year.

Will Ashcroft on the ground after the game said back into training IIRC next week. That is next level.

**FYI - MCG is our home ground, but bitches won't let us play there too much. Bring it, AFL. Any team you put against us in Melbourne Docklands is relegating them to "can't fill the MCG" BS....every Melbourne club can fill, or at least go +20k over Docklands, or whatever the **** it is called, easy. Bring it. Happy to play anywhere, anytime. But let the stars shine, yeah?

Remember when the theme was we weren't ruthless enough because we could never bury teams. Except in Grand Finals.

Geelong buried 8 teams in the lead up to the finals.

It does make me wonder about the value of burying teams.

One thing I will say is that for back to back years Geelong had an easy run home and every neutral seemed to bemoan that they got such an easy draw.

Meanwhile, I wouldn’t call it an advantage at all to have such a simple end to the season and a lot of cats fans I saw said that too. They had little to gain from burying West Coast or Richmond to end the season.

I think we gained a lot both years with a tough run home.

Reading some of the posts on Geelong board, you can sense that they were wary of our best was better than anyone else but they weren’t expecting us to bring that in the GF.

Bloody hell, what a victory. I needed to take a few days away just to let it all sink in. Geelong were certainly a tougher opponent than Sydney last year and our boys just blew them away.
