I missed the memo where his opinion mattered or when he was appointed the Arbiter of Decency.Apparently Mitch Brown is now an expert on whether or not it was offensive and was part of the public court, you can't make this shit up honestly.
Did they congratulate us in their speeches?Grundy and Jordon finished second and third respectively in Sydney's B&F.

Brown posted on his own Instagram and didn't do any media about it, but I'm not particularly surprised that the first openly bisexual male footballer has an opinion on what could be very easily considered as homophobic.I missed the memo where his opinion mattered
I mean ok.Brown posted on his own Instagram and didn't do any media about it, but I'm not particularly surprised that the first openly bisexual male footballer has an opinion on what could be very easily considered as homophobic.
The comments/threats towards him as a result have been appalling.
I think dangerfield and Smith hugged each other, said Brokeback Monday or some shit and Smith said this is what losing a GF does to ya. Holmes dressed as Caro as well, although on the rush hour they said he text her for permission firstWhat happened?
I only heard the bit that Kayne Cornes said which was weirdI think dangerfield and Smith hugged each other, said Brokeback Monday or some shit and Smith said this is what losing a GF does to ya. Holmes dressed as Caro as well, although on the rush hour they said he text her for permission first
Then Mitch Brown exactly like I said would happen came out and called them homophobes because he's now an expert and the it's been cancelled
Reminds me of school. It's weird that Smith's posts were the only thing that appeared to cross a line and the whole collective has been punished as a result.
Very bizarre, Holmes wore a dress, a wig and a quiver with arrows to represent Caro. Hardly Sam Newman's sex doll from the footy Show.I only heard the bit that Kayne Cornes said which was weird
Yes that’s the picture I saw. I was a bit surprised about the fuss. Geelong Mad Monday have always dressed up as prominent footy and media types. It didn’t look very offensive and I haven’t read that Wilson complained.Very bizarre, Holmes wore a dress, a wig and a quiver with arrows to represent Caro. Hardly Sam Newman's sex doll from the footy Show.
Honestly if you can't even do that anymore
I don't think she even did. Mitch Brown and Kane Cornes did and that's why it's even worse.Yes that’s the picture I saw. I was a bit surprised about the fuss. Geelong Mad Monday have always dressed up as prominent footy and media types. It didn’t look very offensive and I haven’t read that Wilson complained.
Loooool
I still don’t think I’ve seen the photo that has raised the homophobic comments. It's weird that Smith's posts were the only thing that appeared to cross a line and the whole collective has been punished as a result.
Here's the picI still don’t think I’ve seen the photo that has raised the homophobic comments.
I did see the dress up as Caro thing and thought it was odd that it got any attention. Any number of men have been dressing up as women in safe spaces like costume parties and pantomimes, plays etc for hundreds of years. It’s not occurred to me before that it is transphobia - it’s just something people like to do for fun.
I didn’t know about the comment and emoji thing until today. Smith is such a strange character - doesn’t seem able to help himself really. Geelong are struggling with him a bit.
Ah. Yeah he shouldn’t have posted that. The “phone away” bit probably should have happened a bit earlier. Here's the pic

They've already had a sook about the media targetting them which I thought was a bit laughable.Ah. Yeah he shouldn’t have posted that. The “phone away” bit probably should have happened a bit earlier.
It’s an interesting one. Geelong aren’t really forthcoming about internal stuff (other than straight after a loss). It will be interesting to see how they approach this one.
Yes I read that article. It’s what made me curious about what had happened. And yes it did have her usual tropes, but a lot of it surprising all the same. She mentioned twice I think about times he went AWOL and was uncontactable. Very odd. They've already had a sook about the media targetting them which I thought was a bit laughable.
Caro wrote a piece in the age about it which has her typical tropes, but the through line of it is that the Cats don't really know how to control or discipline Bailey Smith, and his teammates and the club having to cover for him all the time is going to get old sooner or later.
I think I agree with that, and I can see a lot of similarities to how we mishandled Oliver.
