Wehr is a good pick up as cheap depth (no trade required), but also plays in what is potentially our weakest position in wing. He is a nice kick and enables Burgoyne to go back and play as a small defender/half back which is where he has played his best footy in my opinion also.
He is not depth. He is automatically our best wingman. We have been poor there since we lost Amon

I don't know who he is and that means he's imperative to achieving total football.
Total football is out the door, with Houston, Burton and Dixon gone its just 50% football but sticking to Carr related themes I am hearing the new one is Destruction Derby.

A lot of people have no idea
He played a lot of the year in a team that did much better then us and plays in a position that we lack in
He’s a starter for us not a depth sanfl player. Everyone complains that our 15-23 players need to be a lot better. We start improving that area and people still complain.

I have very little idea how capable he is. Probably have seen him play 3 or 4 games.

If he is better than Hugh Jackson (gone and a few others delisted) and Jackson Meade ( should have gone) then we will improve our list depth.

We were playing a 49 year old inside mid and a slow defensive midfielder on the wings this year. This is an upgrade.

Is it the formality that the giants still have x amount of days to match (they wont match) as to why hes not officially announced as our player yet?

According to the Advertiser this Saturday the paperwork has yet to be completed for Wehr. Maybe nobody knows what to do without Rabies Davies.

Bloody hell, having been snubbed by Brand Petracca the Camrys might come along and cut our lunch - pull yer finger out, Ports!

Did I miss it or has the move not been approved yet by the AFL?

I've seen the official approvals for TDK, Silvani, Draper, Worpal but nothing for Wehr.

Someone who’s been dumped by his prior club is an automatic starter for us come round one.
I’m not knocking the lad but this tells you the reality of where our list is at.
If he was from Essendon, or the like, I would agree with you. But second in line midfielders from clubs like the Giants and Suns are in a different bracket. Those clubs have had so many top picks, and have midfields stacked with talent. He would be a starter in most sides.

Also your use off the word "dumped" is factually incorrect, as he is a free agent, and chose Port as his destination. But go ahead, it fits your historical narrative.
