I think for Marshall he wants to be closer to home.
I think its mainly that and partly the success thing.

That pick upgrade from 63 to 58 really does tie that deal together nicely haha
Keep telling yourself that. One player doesn't make that much of a difference. And also Gameplan wouldn't have differed much from horse to cox's.

Once as a million dollar ruckman? Absolutely yes.He was twice yes.
Yeah I agree the article has undervalued the trade a bitThat pick upgrade from 63 to 58 really does tie that deal together nicely haha
I did laugh because it's so meaningless (especially since points end at 54 now although those picks can still be used in other trades). I think it will be a higher pick swaps ie a future 2nd for a future 3rd but they are on the right track.

That's what trade week/fortnight is all about, meaningless late pick swaps. That pick upgrade from 63 to 58 really does tie that deal together nicely haha

Yeah they've only got about fifty other blokes coming in this off-season.Honestly, it’s hard not to feel sorry for the Saints.
I don't know about that. Trading out a surplus ruckman for picks and like a pretty astute moveHonestly, it’s hard not to feel sorry for the Saints. Losing Marshall just feels like another chapter in a story that never quite turns the corner. Their fans deserve credit though — still showing up, still believing, even when everyone else knows how it ends.

Same
Think this will be around the mark or something in a three way with GC that will see roughly the same value
I mean if it was last years draft it would still be a lame suggestion to throw in there as "moving the needle"... But in this draft which has been broadly talked of as shallow and compromised with academies for the majority of talent... I imagine almost all clubs are passing at the 58 - 63 mark.
Then again, that Lawson Humphries as pick 63 in the 2023 draft is looking like a decent call...
That’s the thing we have the currency already to get all those deals done without out anything we get for trading Marshallfind it funny people arguing what picks get thrown in for marshall, regardless of if is this year or next year or year 2033, saints won't see it as it will be used up or split for their 29 trades they got going on.
what they need to realize is just the net which is
out: marshall
in: flanders, ryan, whoever else.
If you’re mortgaging future drafts sureThat’s the thing we have the currency already to get all those deals done without out anything we get for trading Marshall

A second time on a contract less per annum than Marshall's? Lol
The traded contract was 700k, which is less than Marshall's and no one is saying his is a cap dump.He was on plenty when Sydney took him.
Geelong get Marshall and p63.
And Stkilda get some junk picks- F1 and 18. Which both end up in the mid twenties.
