List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)

It's been said, at this point we have:

- Picks 1, 2 (likely) & 12 to bring in high end talent.

- Later picks for Young & NGA recruits.

- Then extra rookie spots for Dev and other NGA's and F/S's not worth picks

- With possible picks from Chesser and Ryan still to come

Plus Starcevich coming in.

This is a pretty good result (not so much Chesser and Ryan leaving but can't control that). People calling the draft shallow, then getting angry that we've dropped middling picks to get more to the pointy end need to decide what exactly it is they want.

Because, just like you said yourself, trade week ends next Wednesday.

Unless you think this is the only trade WCE will be involved in, for some reason?

With the way we trade I wouldn't mind that.

I don't understand why we are in such a hurry. Is there a bidding war for Brandon Starcevich I'm not aware of?

The Dockers / Eagles / Brisbane pick exchange and trades has and had so many layers to it, including Freo’s interest in West Coast NGA prospect Tylah Williams, who is soaring up the draft pick order. #AFLTrade

Does this mean Freo are not interested in Tylah?

There's other trades needing to be done. No need to hold things up for no reason. For instance, Freo have already traded pick 23 to Melbourne for Judd McVee.

Why wait to the last minute and miss out on other potential trades for no reason?

And you can pretend it was totally unforeseeable and that you weren't wrong in pretending the issue wasn't real when we traded for him. Which i know you will.

And it won't take 4 years for him to get a head knock. That soft head contact that took him out of the GF would happen to most players a couple of times a year, but it is not enough to concuss players who don't already have extensive bruising of their brain tissue. We will find out well before 4 years just how big the problem is.

What is the point of pick 33 and 50 something comeing to us? Are we even going to use them? Is that just window dressing to make us feel better about ourselves and placate the fan base?
There is a chance we only take 3 picks in the main draft if Ryan stays .
Maybe we put a couple on Rookie list in case we have to match F/s or NGA

Can someone give me a brief summary of the last 20 pages? Who's happier, team yellow sheets or team dry sheets?

Wet sheets started off strong, then team dry sheets came in thinking they'd won. In the end it's probably slightly leaning towards dry sheets, but wet sheets are now complaining coz having more picks is better than having better picks.

We should still be able to get Gold Coasts pick 7 if we want it and Essendon don't come hard for #1 player we don't want.

GC have two of the best players in the draft that should expect some bids at 1 or 2 so its time to leverage the only power we have during the season for a points exchange and no bids promise.

Might need points for Williams…. Will be in first round range if Freo use their pick in the 20s for him. Don’t want to go into deficit for 2026 F1 round pick

A DEAL sending Brandon Starcevich to West Coast has been agreed upon by Brisbane and the Eagles, with Fremantle also involved in the three-club trade.

The deal will be ratified by the AFL on Wednesday but has been agreed by the clubs. AFL.com.au revealed what the deal was shaping up to be, with the trade set to see a swathe of picks change hands.

It will see the Eagles land the two-time premiership winner as well as picks 12, 33 and 52, and give up picks 16, 22 and 23.

The Lions are set to receive picks 16, 22, 44 and 50 as part of their haul, in exchange for losing Starcevich, pick 19, 46 and 52.

The Dockers cracked open the trade by using their pick No.12 to include in the trade, seeing them slide back for multiple selections. Fremantle will trade in picks 19, 23 and 46 in exchange for 12, 33, 44 and 50.

Pick 23 is expected to be immediately tabled for Judd McVee in a deal that could go through with Melbourne on Wednesday as well.

With this deal done, the expectation is the paperwork for Oscar Allen's free agency move to Brisbane comes through on Wednesday which is set to seal the Eagles a prized No.2 pick in this year's draft. - Callum Twomey
