As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.

Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Wow. I can live with Ryan for a 2nd round to 3rd round downgrade. Also think that walking away from the Aleer pursuit is common sense prevailing (though ideally we wouldn't have chased so hard to begin with).

Pretty well stocked for key defenders IMO. With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if SDK was on the cards now.

Wow, I check out for a couple of hours and it’s all happening. Happy with the price for Ryan. That FF3 is probably super garbage in that draft, but hopefully we can rise next year so that the F2 is not overly high. And must admit, I’m happy on Aleer. Did not rate. But hopefully it opens the door for something else instead.

If we're done here I'm absolutely stoked tbh. Only thing that might make it better is Aleer in the PSD or SDK for Marshall straight swap

That should be one of the earliest R3 picks in 27 (hard to see them getting out of bottom 4 in next 2 years), whereas our 2026 is probably expected to be middle of the pack.

So in expected value we've moved back 10 or 12 spots and 1 year. Pretty reasonable.

Hate to be a downer but "the Devils will be handed picks No.1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13, and the first selection of each subsequent round in their first draft, which is set to be in 2027." - that's 9 picks being inserted before WC's 3rd rounder. I think it will end up being more than 12 above our F2 number and barely worth anything.

Good pick to be honest. The change of F/S & Academy bidding means clubs need to user higher picks to match and what could be pick 41-45 may come in significantly. Again, a fair trade all round.
