Pardon my ignorance, but I'm confused, are you meaning studios covertly putting out negative publicity, in which there is negative publicity on on the original publicity....to advertise the movie?

Superman is a glorious entry into the new DCU. A brilliant blend of the best of All Star Superman and Birthright. Was so pleased when Gunn referenced these as comics he was drawing upon as Grant Morrison’s fingerprints are all over this.
Gunn nailed it. It’s hopeful. Inspiring. Action packed yet heavy with emotion when it needed to be. Some genuine moments where I felt all the feels.
He sets it up from the opening and the fusion of characters just works. There was a concern that there would too much going on with all do the characters however I wasn’t too worried about that myself. I loved it. Took me back to the great DC stories rich in detail of a gallery of characters. They dovetail in and out nicely and don’t take away from the core of the film, Clark’s desire to do better.
Mr Terrific had a moment to shine with his one shot fight scene. Some genuine cheers in the cinema I was in which was sharing packed for a Thursday morning.
Gunn aimed high with his references to the current geopolitical climate and good on him for doing so. Corenswet was outstanding and he and Brosnahan have real chemistry. Excellent casting choices. Hoult was frighteningly good with his take on Luther.
Nitpicks? For sure. But that can wait. Because I’m riding too damn high at the moment. Upon leaving the cinema I’ve already bought tickets to come back this evening with my sons. Can’t wait. If this is the direction of the new DCU under Gunn and Safran, then yep, I’m in.

Loved Mr Terrific
I liked this Lex but I thought he was too over the top with his hatred for Superman imo
Overall the movie was fantastic way better then that garbage that was Man of Steel

Enjoyed the movie. And not knowing the breadth of the other characters pre movie was a blessing

I thought it was a great reboot. Character development. Superman showing frailties and human emotion. Showed its not all roses being super. Invincible? no. and it resonates with people.
Gunn brought the guardians formula. Music, dancing, humour but also team work interspersed with doubt

I can't imagine anyone at the moment who'd be perfect. Nor do I like any of the fan-casts being thrown around on the internet. Hopefully it's an unknown like David.

Anyone remember early images of the movie? The one with the eye creature fighting whilst superman sits solemnly inside. Were there green lasers subtly included ?
Can’t recall if the lasers were in the trailer, I don’t believe so (however I loved the 5th dimensional imp, that was outstanding).

Im a big Snyder DC fan and would loved to have seen the JL storyline that was planned come alive but it was probably the right move by WB to move on. I personally don't think Gunn is the right person either but that post seems like from an unreputable account. Wouldn't count the chickens on that being legit.
