It's why we went so hard at Windhager and why Rowbottom would have been perfect for us. Simpkin isn't taking Long's position in Collingwood's midfield, if anything he wants to play the same role as Nick Daicos, which he obviously isn't going to do. He would join a rotation of Pendlebury, DeGoey and others for the third midfield spot. They're clearly eyeing him as the Pendlebury replacement when the cliff comes.
Also Simpkin would be crazy to want to go to Collingwood. They are in for a world of mediocrity in a couple of years.

I’m more reflecting on the media’s attitude and reporting, but pies wanting Jy for a pick in the 20’s or 30’s is a waste of everyone’s time. Why on earth would North do that? They are not desperate to move him on. Something the media is totally neglecting.
