Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

He’s a good player that has had a bad year. Nice run and ball use off HB. Again, more depth, only 27 and another mature body to help development.

Exactly, he is better than our best 22 "bottom 6" hence it's a yes from me. If nothing else, for list turnover and trying something different.

I think it was against Essendon in the VFL, he took one of the better clunks I've seen for a while and slotted truly to win us the game.

He has the attack on the ball and skill level required to play key fwd IMO.

Been saying this for half a season too. Just looks like he would be a quality forward. Has an amazing set of hands and solid kick for goal.

I think the opposite. Swans are shopping around multiple players. Hayward, Rowbottom and Florent entrenched in the culture, McDonald one of their best young players. They have to get the deal done now or the place stinks next year.

The two firsts and two players is mostly fair and I think we can push for an upgrade of points as well with some later swaps.

Fair enough, but the way I see it is that if you want to prise a supertalent who has a long term contract away from his club you need to at least be giving uop an A grader as part of the deal. We couldnt be in a stronger position.

IMO… Suns will stick to their word and Humphrey & Walter are no chance of being traded.

Hayward is a solid player, who I’d like to be at Carlton. But he’s a long way from the A-Graders we said we wanted at the start.

Unless one of: Pick 2, Humphrey, Walter, Butters or some A-Grader out of the woodwork is part of the deal, I’d keep Curnow to his contract.

We’d been in talks with OF before all this by reports, so not much to get his head around.
Obv not wanted at SYD, he should be able to read that much from 2025.

Yeah I get that, I just don't care how players see things... it's not a good look at all and it's a slap in the face of your own footy club.

I would hope that at the very least, the new team leading the charge at Carlton will educate them on this...

I reckon we’re receiving more than 2 firsts + Hayward + Florent.

Three reasons:
1. it was said from the start that we need to be seen to clearly win the deal to appease fans after losing TDK
2. There must have been a reason why Rowbottom was being pushed out. There’s also the rumours around Logan McDonald leaving to WCE
3. The Swans were supposedly trying to broker trades get players from other clubs to Carlton as part of the weekends negotiations

4. Someone said we’d be blown away.

In the scenario Humphrey preferred Carlton, Gold Coast would tell him it’s the Dees (better deal for them) or you’re staying. Similar to what we are doing with Curnow.

Two best 22 players and two first rounders makes it one of the biggest trade hauls ever. This for a soon to be 29 year old. It still feels unders but if Charlie is going to be a problem next year I think we’ve done pretty well.

Unfortunately we are dealing with people and with a system weighted towards the players. The A graders have to want to come. We will be in a better position to attract them in 12 months time.
