Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Sometimes it is just subtraction by subtraction, and we have done an awful lot of subtraction in the past few years.

We have two A grade players on the list (ie players who have made multiple All Australian teams). One of those is contracted for four years. To trade him away and not even get a B grade player OR a top 10 pick is just dumb.

I'm sorry but haven't we heard this several times about recruits or departures? Yet nothing has really changed in 15 years.

Also, forgive me if I've missed it, but has it been said why exactly Charlie is hellbent on getting out of there? Is it simply that he and Voss don't get along (or whatever was reported)?

I reckon they tried. Then a week later he rode a bike to the game. Then he met with any club who would listen. Then his manager was leaking all sorts of shit to the media.

I think the club has handled it really well all things considered.

He’s a good player that has had a bad year. Nice run and ball use off HB. Again, more depth, only 27 and another mature body to help development.

Not every player is a star but I think he fits in well

I disagree. This is a VFL level player and the Swans are trying to get out of their 4 year contract.

We should be steering clear.

My anger with club has been about culture. It’s poor and has been for a long while

We were crap this year. IMO what we are doing makes us so much better next year. Adding these bodies and depth to Jagga Wilson Campos Motlop Cowan Carroll HOK HOF Moir Lord Dean Ison Walker will have massive benefits next year and in the future

The standards will be so much better

We will be a lot better next year and I believe we will finally have genuine hope for future
