Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

We don't need a partner necessarily, but we do need a back-up. HOK possibly fits the bill but I'd love another one developing.

HoK needs time and I suspect he might prefer to be ruck resting forward as opposed to forward who helps out in the ruck

Is he really 'our' a grade champion of he wants out and plays like it? More importantly, what actually makes him a champion in your opinion? He can be great and can be equally terrible. For mine, champions lift in big games. Charlie has yet to prove this is a trait of his.

Harry has always performed better as the lone KPF as opposed to Charlie.

Just reading the tea leaves.. I reckon we’re waiting on the Gold Coast deal for trac to be finalized and something will get sorted after that. If I had to guess then it probably is Humphrey but my gut tells me there’s someone else we’re looking at that hasn’t even been mentioned yet.

He has some really nice tools. I have hope that an AFL preseason will help him add a little explosiveness which would be massive for him at AFL level.

It's just seems lists spots are more free in a way.
Not so much previous years. In the fact that we had to trade Owies because we couldn't fit him In.

This year we are bringing so many players in its awful for a young kid just trying to stay on a list.
Don't know of that makes sense to anyone.

Personally, I'm still not completely sold on a potential trade of CC to Sydney for Hayward, Florent, Sydney's 2026 current pick 11 and 2027 F1.
A 'sweetner' for me would be Sydney paying some of Hayward's and Florent's salaries, plus their 2026 pick 32 for our pick 54.
But if / when the CC trade goes down, I do have my faith in the combination of Wright, Davies and Austin and co...

We need a potent forward line without him .. as in Harry is a bonus for us when playing.

If Charlie goes .. with unders ... then the Footy Gods have spoken. Fingers crossed.
One thing is for sure ... Carlton needed a good shakeup.

Sydney = Curnow
Port = Sydneys (First Pick This Year + Next Year) + Carltons 2nd round pick This year

Surely wed have to throw one of our first round picks from this year!!

Guys come on...

Why would Port accept a worse offer for Butters than we're taking for Charlie?

You want Butters? Ok, it will cost Charlie to get #11 + F1(Swans) from Sydney.

Then it will cost us #10 + F1(Blues) + F1(Swans)

On top of that, $2M+ / season for 8 years of our cap.

Oh and we severely damage any shot of matching the Walker bid next year too...

I really doubt Carlton is willing to take that sort of hit... it ain't happening.

Worry about the following 2 things because it's all that REALLY matters:

Coaching
Injuries

I would trade Charlie for a injury free preseason

Somethings not right when we actively denigrate our A grade champion forward but pump up another teams C grader to make the trade look like a good deal.

It could very well turn out to be a good deal.

Yes Charlie's an A grader champion, BUT i say f-him for actively seeking out Geelong. If he ends up at Swans then at least he goes to a decent club. I would much rather a C grader who plays like they GAF.

The "C grader" isn't the steak.
