Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

On the other hand, we might be replacing a 65 goal a year forward with a 40 goal a year forward (Hayward).

AND getting a solid HBF with good ball use (Florent), which we badly need.

AND getting a first round pick to get us half of Cody.

AND maybe something else.

Losing Charlie for multiple lesser parts may not be a disaster when you factor in the total impact to our list.

He isn't a 40 goals a year forward; he has only done that once. In fact, only twice in 9 seasons has he kicked more than 30 goals.

I think they have ruined the father-son rule. The AFL has gone into crystal ball mode as if they can tell how a player's career will turn out. NGA have ruined the draft as well.

I just feel so uneasy thinking about the Charlie trade. No matter what you think of him, he is a game changer!!

This will annoy some posters who are better analysts then me but IMO, Hayward is overrated by many and is very inconsistent. Had his best year in contract year. Sydney supporters will confirm, if you don’t believe me. Florent is more consistent and reliable and that is saying something.

So, if we are receiving either of these 2 in the trade, it’s a fail. Sorry guys but I’m not one to retrospect.

I hope I’m wrong on 2 counts, the club has stood up in this trade and not accepted inferior players and picks and the mooted deal is much better then discussed or I’m wrong on Hayward. As an example, Campbell for instance would be a decent get and have a better ceiling.

That’s my2cents for now.

Very good point. Our leverage was compromised by the change in rules. If we had the opportunity to match with points from later picks, we would've had a lot more ascendancy

Harry has always performed better as the lone KPF as opposed to Charlie.
We’re getting rid of the right one imo.

To me, Harry is the better "footy player", Charlie the more talented.

Harry is willing to work a lot harder up and down the ground, apply REAL defensive pressure and in my opinion will absolutely thrive as the "main man".

Add to the fact that he will have the likes of Moir, Ainsworth and Hayward who all are great at leading patterns and marking overhead.

I can not wait to see our new forward 50 lineup on action!

This ain’t consistent and he’s now in his latter peak productivity years.

Fact of the matter is he’s never been healthy enough often enough to be consistent, and this year his own attitude has become a factor. He doesn’t try hard enough when things aren’t going his way.

His best being amazing is what we’ll argue this for trade value, but realistically, he’s never been reliable or consistent in a big picture sense.

He has an awful lot of trade value though and the club can capitalise on this for a net gain.
