I think all 3 of those were in public weren't they?Oscar Allen meeting with Mitchell - Leaked
Harley Reid meeting with Mitchell - Leaked
Zach Merrett meeting with Mitchell - Leaked
I'm seeing a trend here...
Again if you don't care about players meeting but you do care about knowing about it you are incredibly immature.Strong offer?
2 middling teens picks and Hustwaite, who apparently is the guy Hawks shop around in every potential trade.
He is the steak knives to a deal, people are way too obsessed with HH.Sure but if Hawks want to prize a contracted club captain, who is also that club's best player, they need to make a serious offer and that means giving up something good.
Can't just keep shopping Box Hill player Henry Hustwaite around constantly.
That’s fine, It’ll hurt them more than it will us. I’m confident I’ll get to watch my team play in September next year can they say that?Probably, but they still have 0 interest in dealing with Hawthorn... Which is the entire point. Mitchell f***ed up just like Fly with the JSOS coffee date crap.

Someone leaked it to the press because he was on radio in Melbourne being quizzed about it before he even flew to Perth to meet Allen.
I don't imagine it was McDougall or WCE doing that.
lol. Settle down pettle. Absolutely no one of any of any significance gets traded until 6pm tomorrow. And you still have an all time **** coach.Remind me how many players have arrived at Hawthorn this off season?
keeping contracted professional footballer is bad business? And by not dealing Essendon will have totally screwed up the next 5 years of that football club.
If you think at people's homes are in the public, sureI think all 3 of those were in public weren't they?
Cocking it up would be paying overs for a 30 year old.
We cant all get Baker and Owies. Cats also failed with Curnow too. Though that seems to be ignored.
Essendon ****ed up Daniher, ****ed up Dunkley, nailed it with the game changing Fiorini and ****ed up Merrett.
Quite the club.
Use the list as a rough guide. It's broadly accurate, even though you can rightly quibble with a few things.
You cant screw in a screw once its been screwed in. Its already screwedAnd by not dealing Essendon will have totally screwed up the next 5 years of that football club.
You realise that isn't the phrase?"How to cut your nose despite your face"

It is when he’s 30, wants out and you guys are no where near finals. Honestly if my club was in your position as much as I’d love the player I’d want the deal to happen as it will help the club drastically.keeping contracted professional footballer is bad business?
wowee
Might have remembered that wrong thenIf you think at people's homes are in the public, sure
You enjoying supporting a mediocre club? Enjoy watching your side get smashed week in week out? Get used to it.
I think i actually like the nonsense version. You have to picture Heath ledger as the joke saying itYou realise that isn't the phrase?
It certainly can bekeeping contracted professional footballer is bad business?
wowee
Or how to simply not do anything while the competition makes a meal of the situation."How to cut your nose despite your face"

Again, there's a time and place for it, which is why good clubs seem to be able to get deals done amicably.Again if you don't care about players meeting but you do care about knowing about it you are incredibly immature.
Allen was clumsy in that Sam was spotted going to his house per McDougall meeting arrangements. No1 is leaking concerning a FA. There's no trade.
Harley, you mean a wedding? Lol
Merrett, widely known even by Essendon it was Petroro/Merrett. Anything via Morris is. Sam wasn't leaking that 4 days out from a final.
Regardless, just get with the times really. If you have a strong culture and environment players stay. All you need to focus on as a club. You'd do well to listen to TBs reasons for moving on mate
Hey don't drag us into this. Mackie offered every first we had and after it was clear we weren't getting over the Sydney offer we bid them good day. No harm no foulMitchell sees him as the 'missing' piece, so to fail to improve Hawthorn's side from this year going into next would indeed be 'cocking' it up, considering the turmoil they've sown with player and agent.
Cats are in the same basket as Hawthorn. Why on earth are clubs finishing at the top of the ladder making attempts to trade for A grade contracted players from middling/bottom sides with no decent draft assets?
Sydney are at least offering up 2 first rounders and a B22 player in Haywood(Florent's on the outer). I'm not saying it's an amazing offer, or if Carlton should even consider it, but they're at least trying to drum up some value to offer Carlton.
Hawks are just offering what would be mid/late teens picks and a player nobody wants.
Essendon haven't ****ed up Merrett at all, because they don't have to do anything to begin with. He's contracted.
How will it hurt Essendon to keep their best player, who's contracted? That’s fine, It’ll hurt them more than it will us. I’m confident I’ll get to watch my team play in September next year can they say that?
I want the deal to go through, the absolute carry on from all corners is embarrassing (yes, both sides). On the other hand, I don't purely because of the way Hawthorn have carried themselves this off season and pretending they hold the moral high groundIt is when he’s 30, wants out and you guys are no where near finals. Honestly if my club was in your position as much as I’d love the player I’d want the deal to happen as it will help the club drastically.
