A Carlton supporter with no clue.Hawthorn tried to lay a tackle, got annoyed when they've been tackled back, and are now ducking in search of a free.
Are we surprised?
If McKenzie was included then the 2026 1st will be withdrawn or the Bombers will be giving there 2026 2nd. It's just the way it will be. In saying that McKenzie isnt on the table.my optics is we are pushing hard for McKenzie to be part of this deal.
I was OK with the deal before, but i'm starting to chubb up now.
Explain how accepting this trade helps Essendon? Bear in mind they have around 4 list spots and currently hold 2x top 10 picks and are bringing in 2 NGA, so the first this year is probably useless to them, so it's effectively trading Merrett for Hustwaite and a late first rounder next year.

Wasting your breath, Essendon just don’t get itThat is arguably the most bizarre take ive seen in this discussion.
So you dont think they would delist someone else to open up a spot to take a top 10 pick?? Are you new to the sport? You must be.
This trade helps Essendon because if they hold him, its 12 months of pain, shattered culture and then next year he is traded for a single first round pick. Thats it.
Actually the Hawks plan B is even better than that.looks like the Hawks plan B might be de Goey. Rumour mill buzzing.
So you are happy that your hero would treat a fellow human being to the torture of having to play for Essendon and as an added humiliation play under B. Scott?

Incorrect.Nailed it.

Have you not looked at the state of their list? That is arguably the most bizarre take ive seen in this discussion.

Hang on a minute I though Essendons we up in arms about the Hawks offering a player up who was playing VFL footy.
So they now say they would do the deal if the Hawks offered up another bloke who was playing VFL footy.
Dear oh dear that’s a Jimmy Hird type hypocrite backflip![]()
? take it to the ah chee thread, friend. this is irrelevant for this thread.
north fan’s hatred of essendon blinds them to the reality of the situation. they’d set their club alight if it led to even a morsel of suffering for the club.Have you not looked at the state of their list?
How does pick 14(after bids) help Essendon in any meaningful way when all they're really doing is swapping Merrett for Hustwaite?
Do you think i's A-OK for Hawthorn to go around ruining relationships between player and club to get them in on the cheap?
What if Mitchell comes for Sheezel next time?
Give him up for Ned Reeves and 2 late firsts?
yeah totally, imagine having to play in front of big crowds in blockbuster games. The torture. I mean, as we all know, nothing ever changes and clubs never improve performance over timeNo need to know.
Even as an Essendon supporter you would understand the reaction a player would have if they were asked.
How would you like to play for Essendon and as an added bonus you get to play under B.Scott.
what a club... a club desperately holding on to a player who desperately wants out.... take the offer ess.Yeah while i tend to agree it's a good offer I can also understand reluctance on Essendons part. He's the only thing holding them together
The Hawks will not trade Frenchy, it’s pretty simple. What backflip?
I said form the get go my preference was McKenzie + Pick 9
why are you quoting me as some kind of sounding board for all Essendon supporters?
Its 10:30am - do some work ya bum
yeah but Mckenzie isnt crap like Tsatas is.
Essendon last night rejected the highest value deal for a 30 year old in the history of trading.
They need to give their head a wobble and realise where they are at with this.
No mention of the broadcasters not even showing one of these said blockbuster games on free to air?yeah totally, imagine having to play in front of big crowds in blockbuster games. The torture. I mean, as we all know, nothing ever changes and clubs never improve performance over time
Could you try to make your Barrass-hurt less visible.Have you not looked at the state of their list?
