Joel Selwood and Christian Petracca (knees) and Darcy Moore (hammies like tissue paper) are good examples of clubs and their medical teams getting on top of early set backs in their careers. More recently look at Ashcroft with his ACL and then going B2B with Norm Smith medals.

George’s issues are twofold. Hammies and trying to use his head in places it should not be (concussions). 2026 just might well be his year. He is due.
Smart kid, seemed to adapt to the head thing pretty quickly this year once he realised that the league only protects some teams from concussions. Hammies are a bit of wait and see, I suspect he will spend his whole career with an acute awareness of his body in this area. That said he didn't actually miss too many games this year due to the leg issues.

Agree he should be ready to fire this next year, already has the strength at a young age so just mountains of km's into his legs will be the go this off season. Him having the gas in the tank to push forward regularly and still contribute in the middle = look out.

This is one of the most insulting things I have seen in years written about our club. They should be putting a copy of this "article" on the locker of Logue, Comben, Pink & Corr. (Dawson can look over his shoulder at the article as gets a pass due to age).

With the amount of vitriol that is directed at our club and our players I do really wonder why we don't play every game with a us vs everyone f*** the world type attitude.

IMHO we would be a different side entirely if to a man they went out with this sort of mentality.

You may beat us but you will get hurt doing so. It would make practically everything more bearable.

Underrated media flog.

With plenty of mocks coming out it seems pretty consensus that Sweid will attract a bid before Ess pick 27.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this seems to open a freebie loophole for us.

If we trade 25 and 26 for 28 and 29 we can generate something for free. GC gain points, we could get a 3rd or a 3rd to 2nd upgrade in 2026 out of it.

We trade 25,26 for 28,29 then 25, 26 get eaten by early GC bids, 27 gets eaten for Sweid, and we are back to 25,26 right where we started.

I bloody hope the club is all over a pick shuffle like this. Something for nothing doesn't happen every day!

More than 50% of it is from posters on here.

Mate most of the AFL industry consider us a clown show. The only difference is they're happy about it. Posters here are hurt.
As someone has allured to earlier id love to see us give an us against the afl universe attitude.
F*** suspensions if the oppo gets hurt. The afl already hates us enough.

I have got no problems with posters being upset and frustrated and so on but it needs to be balanced credit when its due. Plenty of cases when it's not.
And sometimes we just let it go, what others post really doesn’t change how we feel.
Posting because you are frustrated at others being frustrated is an indication that you have more in common than you think.
I’m a complete hypocrite of course, but that’s ok I hope.

Ha ha Arnt we all. I just don't enjoy not just our posters but everyone bagging us all the time with no positive out looks which there are positives even if posters don't want to admit them.

Those positives don't amount to much when the only thing you can be confident in is beating Richmond and West Coast. You've got your head in the clouds

Surely we are in the picture.
25,26,47,57, 2026 R3, 2027 R2 to Carlton > 9,11

Better than up my butt like some.

This is hilarious. I've turned over a new leaf and trying to be more positive (but it's delusion really).

Some people like to paint their face, some people like to yell at clouds, some like to hang shit on those in charge. The real issue (I see) is you trying to tell people how to support their football club... it's insane, shut the fuq up. As long as they buy a membership, does it really matter?

Well if you don't enjoy it here, don't put yourself through the torment.
