If there was an accident causing death, I guess there is a motive to cover it up based on the recent example below in NSW. Fear of going to prison for manslaughter perhaps ??? Just a thought, not an accusation.

A man has been charged with manslaughter over the death of a two-year-old boy in rural New South Wales last year.

In September 2024 emergency services were called to a property at Stockinbingal, about 20 kilometres north of Cootamundra, following reports a two-year-old boy had fallen from moving farm equipment.

Even IF there was a snake you don't confront people in Australia holding a gun.
Is that not what people here think?
I think Josie needs to get her firearms license revoked and needs to be charged with a weapons offence.

And I stand by that.

Or, as Justin Bieber might say, “I’m standing on business.”

Oh look ... there's a hawk sitting on a fence at 0.06
Maybe he was taken by a hawk with two breaks, one to pick up Gus’ hat and spirit it away, the other to carry his boots….

IMO

Or there might have been human intervention.

Police said that they could not be 100 per cent certain that the footprint is recent. Supt Syrus said: “There’s a really good possibility now that the footprint could’ve been there for a week.

“Our tracker drove around the property trying to look for some clues .... he could find some cat prints and fox prints”

Could there have been an accident at the property?

Most farms/properties have a "snake" dog that chases snakes away.
IMO snakes have extra sensory glands on the under belly that can acknowledge vibration locally, a dog that finds a snake would be a dead dog unfortunately... compared to a snake that finds a dog(retreat)would be most likely outcome.

The same grandparent allegedly had need to use a shotgun to despatch a snake on their very porch, just a metre or two from the house, but they deemed it suitable to leave a 4yo unattended for 30 minutes around 20 metres from the house??
Not the same grandmother.
Yes she 100% lied.

The snake thing is a complete fabrication.
And you know this how? You have no way of knowing whether there was a snake or not. But that country is full of them.
This thread is just getting full of victim blaming and wild conspiracy theories.

Victim blaming? Who is blaming Gus?

I guess you could say the police and family are 'blaming' Gus for wandering off?
But I wouldn't 'blame' a 4YO boy - I'd blame the people who allowed him to 'wander off'.

There are no other 'victims' in this case - unless you believe that Jonica was threatened with a shotgun - in that case she is also a secondary victim.

The family are not 'victims' - as they allege he wandered off. And police "do not suspect foul play".

The journalist has explained her position very articulately in a number of online videos.

I presume she has all of the evidence, as there are videos, audio etc. and it seems like she was there at Oak Park with a paparazzi person, who is also a witness. IMO

Josie has no camera or video or audio evidence of her own, and there’s no surveillance or security cams at Oak Park.

The reporter has said in her online video she will swear under oath that there is no snake.

Everyone knows you don’t kill a snake on your veranda with a pump action shotgun.

There are about 4 other good ways to kill a snake, and that doesn’t include blowing a hole in your porch.

The bullets ricocheting off a porch at close range would be more dangerous Josie than the snake if she had shot a snake at close range on her porch.

There’s no snake visible in the numerous daily mail videos online.

Josie never mentions a snake in the videos and is clearly using her gun to try to deter the reporter off the property. IMO

Josie’s focus during the gun incident is on the reporter and at no time does her focus go off the reporter and onto a snake.

SAPOL know this.

Maybe. 🤔

I wonder if the police have considered this as a possibility?

They have probably tracked phone pings and would know exactly what people had been in that area around the time of disappearance.
You say 'probably', but where is the evidence?

Police have not spoken publicly about any investigative activity, other than the (now) four searches of the property itself.
They have referred to 'outback survival experts', and 'human physiological experts'.
Everything police have done and spoken about publicly relates to "wandering off, getting lost".
Yet ALL the experts agree that there is NO evidence supporting the "wandering off, getting lost" narrative. Nothing. One footprint, believed to be weeks old. No clothing, no scent, no tracks, no remains.

Police say there is no suggestion of foul play. But, IMO all the evidence points to foul play - it's the most likely scenario.

Where is the evidence that police have accounted for every phone ping in the area on the day Gus disappeared (and in the days leading up to his disappearance)? Where is the evidence that Gus was even alive and on the property at 5pm? Or even that day? Or the day before?

If this evidence exists, why not just come out and say, "We have investigated all the people on the property that day, and are satisfied that they are not involved"? That would at least shut down all the speculation which seems to be upsetting people.

Why do they have to tell us everything, it’s an investigation and releasing information to the public has the potential to damage anything they are working on.
