It looks like a light. On the other side of the sliding door is a dog kennel which tends to imply they do have a house dog....Can anyone see what this is? Is it a light?
I think Josie needs to get her firearms license revoked and needs to be charged with a weapons offence.Even IF there was a snake you don't confront people in Australia holding a gun.
Is that not what people here think?
A light that shines on Gus' dirt pile? Can anyone see what this is? Is it a light?
Can it grab a child with one claw and a snake in the other?Did the eagle get to the snake first?
Maybe the light is to deter animals coming in near the dog?It looks like a light. On the other side of the sliding door is a dog kennel which tends to imply they do have a house dog....

Lights can distract animals like foxes.I’m going out on a limb and saying it’s for people to see at night….
(And attracting eagles)
Maybe it’s to see what’s out there when the dog barks.I’m going out on a limb and saying it’s for people to see at night….

Maybe he was taken by a hawk with two breaks, one to pick up Gus’ hat and spirit it away, the other to carry his boots….Oh look ... there's a hawk sitting on a fence at 0.06
IMO snakes have extra sensory glands on the under belly that can acknowledge vibration locally, a dog that finds a snake would be a dead dog unfortunately... compared to a snake that finds a dog(retreat)would be most likely outcome. Most farms/properties have a "snake" dog that chases snakes away.
Not the same grandmother. The same grandparent allegedly had need to use a shotgun to despatch a snake on their very porch, just a metre or two from the house, but they deemed it suitable to leave a 4yo unattended for 30 minutes around 20 metres from the house??
And you know this how? You have no way of knowing whether there was a snake or not. But that country is full of them.Yes she 100% lied.
The snake thing is a complete fabrication.
Victim blaming? Who is blaming Gus?Not the same grandmother.

This thread is just getting full of victim blaming and wild conspiracy theories.
The journalist has explained her position very articulately in a number of online videos. You have no way of knowing whether there was a snake or not. But that country is full of them.
Maybe.Police said that they could not be 100 per cent certain that the footprint is recent. Supt Syrus said: “There’s a really good possibility now that the footprint could’ve been there for a week.
“Our tracker drove around the property trying to look for some clues .... he could find some cat prints and fox prints”
Could there have been an accident at the property?
You say 'probably', but where is the evidence? They have probably tracked phone pings and would know exactly what people had been in that area around the time of disappearance.
Why do they have to tell us everything, it’s an investigation and releasing information to the public has the potential to damage anything they are working on.You say 'probably', but where is the evidence?
Police have not spoken publicly about any investigative activity, other than the (now) four searches of the property itself.
They have referred to 'outback survival experts', and 'human physiological experts'.
Everything police have done and spoken about publicly relates to "wandering off, getting lost".
Yet ALL the experts agree that there is NO evidence supporting the "wandering off, getting lost" narrative. Nothing. One footprint, believed to be weeks old. No clothing, no scent, no tracks, no remains.
Police say there is no suggestion of foul play. But, IMO all the evidence points to foul play - it's the most likely scenario.
Where is the evidence that police have accounted for every phone ping in the area on the day Gus disappeared (and in the days leading up to his disappearance)? Where is the evidence that Gus was even alive and on the property at 5pm? Or even that day? Or the day before?
If this evidence exists, why not just come out and say, "We have investigated all the people on the property that day, and are satisfied that they are not involved"? That would at least shut down all the speculation which seems to be upsetting people.
