Murrumbeena are certainly growing in reputation in the area. As a Club. their off-field culture is very commendable. They are a destination club for locals now.

Yes, that's the problem in the area. Getting the numbers is difficult especially at reserves as there are too many teams in the Bentleigh/Murrumbeena/McKinnon/Ormond/Caulfield area. Most of the new residents don't have parents with an AFL background so numbers on the whole are dwindling as well.
Also, just the level a lot of the Div 1 clubs/Premier across all areas struggle for reserves players, Deer Park was giving away free subs to reserve players this year, Noble Park had a lot of under 19's double up

This is the tsunami the AFL is not going to see coming until it is too late. The demographics of Bentleigh/Ormond/Oakleigh/Highett & Cheltenham, Brighton has changed significantly in the past 5 years.
The people who have now moved into the area do not care about AFL...a lot care about cricket, but nothing else.
Indian & Asian families will avoid contact sports due to the perceived risks. They will play a little soccer and basketball when their kids are young and then gravitate to individual sports like tennis, badminton, athletics, with their primary focus on education.
You will see clubs slowly fold as they do not get the numbers or the juniors coming thru. Soccer will continue to grow, but there is no pathway for players in Australia and soccer is hopelessly compromised by nepotism and rich kids who can afford to pay for the personal training and coaching from a young age. If you don't get that coaching players rarely succeed at getting a crack.
The ultimate effect on the game will be devastating as there will be a smaller number of kids coming thru.
The AFL is going to have work very had with former Muslim footballers to get them to sell the game to their communities.

Double drop is on the cards.
Will the All Stars survive the fold? Heard some worrying rumours doing the rounds, any All Stars Posters who were very active past 12 months willing to comment ? The President and Former Senior coach must have really cooked the roof off Hurlingham Park if these rumours are indeed correct

If they get relegated this year my source at SFL headquarters is saying they will be put to D3

The 'Pub Talk' is rife, difficult to tell if it's people covering their own backsides or legitimate info on what actually happened. This could be the biggest fall from grace local footy has seen in a very long time.

If they're completely out of cash, they could join D3 in the VAFA!

The members of the previous administration and those responsible for the demise are talking the All Stars down in pubs and clubs across the south. They are likely to start with a very young group that is new to SNFL footy, but they might unearth some exciting talent as well. These things can change very quickly. So called high end "expensive" talent didn't work at the All Stars so now they are going to try building from the bottom up.

The All Stars President has done a runner aswell? Not sure how true that is , but that seems to be common amongst a few, who was the president?

The back story to the All Stars could make a Shakespearean play with the amount of people knifing each other, ducking for cover and so-called friends changing their alliances and never talking to each other again. It makes Julius Ceasar look like a romp in the park.

There are people at the All Stars in the background who are purposefully trying to disrupt the club. It's hard enough when everything is smooth sailing. Let alone when the faceless people start interfering with the club's desire to grow and change.

There are two groups of people who think they are running the All-Stars atm. The old administration and the new administration. It depends on which one you talk to.

How can there be 2 groups ? 1 group by sounds of things that were running the All Stars past 2 seasons have got themselves right royally in the wrong roles & positions and got on the first train out of there, to have a President & captain run and a coach turned over mid year , you wouldn’t be wrong if you thought this was a real life TV show. Dare say the 2nd group of people you refer too have been left with the mess by the sounds
