He won't be rucking in the AFL.Is he just a forward or he can play other positions? I know he rucked in under 18's but can't do that at AFL.
Talk that high half forward or wing is an option.

not really, similar overhead but that's about it IMO.Is Mitch McGovern a good comparison, but Marsh has a better fitness base?

There's no difference between GS and Academies. If you're ok with FS, should be ok with the other.
Get rid of all of them I say
Maybe Hamish still has a small flame burning for Elijah Hollands.
If we take Marsh, we should just not bother re-drafting Welsh.Marsh has a lot, and I mean a LOT, of raw traits
The consistency and strength have to improve, but that’ll come with time and experience
He’s not just another Brayden Cook
I hope Hamish is bluffing with the 2 live picks, because unlike some others I like the late picks that may be availableIf we don’t trade up at all, I would like for us to get Barker
We should only be entertaining this as our 3rd pick if we take itCurtin is certainly being strongly linked to us in the media and it seems we have interviewed him a number of times by all reports.
We are trading 48 out to GC for an F3. i hope its their Essendon F3. Port are trading pick 49 to them too for an F3. We better be smart and lock the Essendon pick as it will be a dozen spots higher than GC'S natural 3rd next year i think.I hope Hamish is bluffing with the 2 live picks, because unlike some others I like the late picks that may be available
I get it, but it’s probably not a good look cutting a F/S kid before his contract’s upIf we take Marsh, we should just not bother re-drafting Welsh.
He actually might emulate Tex's field kicking given some time. And he could easily develop physically, anyone remember how skinny Tex was when he walked into the club? His kicking is super elite
Already kicks goals from 60m and has barely done a leg weight
Very accurate too and also laces guys out over distance with his field kick
Endurance is elite for role too
is under developed with huge ceiling / upside
We want both, would be a really great draft if we land Marsh, Barker and snatch Onley late. That covers us brilliantly. So who is the better prospect, irrelevant of needs, Marsh or Baker?
Going two talls is a bit weird, especially as Hamish said the last pick would be needs-basedWe are trading 48 out to GC for an F3. i hope its their Essendon F3. Then our 50's picks will come into the mid to late 40's after bids chew up picks so curtin is a probable there
2015 stands out as one that was supposed to lack top end talent. The retrospective has stars sprinkled solidly throughout.Has anyone gone back to measure the pre-draft talk of strong drafts / weak drafts and whether these estimations turn out to be on the money?
Really the opposite of diluting the draft, the northern academies are adding to it - developing a bunch of NSW and Qld talent that would've been lost to the game without them. This year, players from at least Sydney and GC academies will likely be drafted by other clubs (as they won't have enough points to match all of them). Will never be a national game with 95% of the players coming from 3 states like it has in the past. Have to look big picture.Father sons every team besides GWS and GCS have the opportunity to benefit from father sons. I guess it’s the luck of the draw whether they’re going to be elite or not?
Academy are benefiting four teams, heavily in favour of the suns and swans. The academy has been diluting the draft where teams lose the opportunity to benefit from the draft.
2023: Walter, Read and Rogers
2024: Lombard
2025: Annable, Uwland and Patterson
True, that's why you'd cut Cook.I get it, but it’s probably not a good look cutting a F/S kid before his contract’s up
I mean an ACL hasnt stopped us drafting players before.Exactly, his injury saves us having to explain. I also think he’s a quality mid that could do well for us
FS has had more impact on the equalisation, and the rules and opportunities are different for each club. The Daicos boys were FS and their Dad stopped in 1993. He actually played 43 games of AFL footy, the rest VFL.Father sons every team besides GWS and GCS have the opportunity to benefit from father sons. I guess it’s the luck of the draw whether they’re going to be elite or not?

Flawed logic. If we finish top 4 next year we won't have access to top level talent.View attachment 2479153
Adelaide Crows: “The team of all South Australians” has a familiar ring to it .
Next year's draft is expected to be stronger and have less players we can't select.Flawed logic. If we finish top 4 next year we won't have access to top level talent.
