It’s what I’m hoping for. This would be icing on the cake in what could be an exceptional draft for the hawks

As much as I hate the system as it is… one would assume that there will be a spillage of a grade talent in the next few years coming out of contract… clubs will benefit then, but it will be too late by then.

Of course there will be, and they will get more 1st and 2nd round picks for those spoiled players they can spend on more Petraccas, while getting more academy kids to kerp the wheel rolling.

The system is DESIGNED to make it so they can't do thought down every again.

I hate them so much. If they were paying Geelong or Essendon in a gf - well Geelong, you've got to be realistic - I would be supporting Geelong.

Nothing better than a tenacious little midfield tiger. Brings back great memories of Mitch, Crawf and the Rat. Ive always found that guys that are undersized are forced to think smarter about how they play. Very happy with that. Hopefully Watson will stand next to him in the national anthem team line up this time instead of Mitch Lewis.

Greeves situation is very intriguing. I don't see how you can be talked about as a top 5/10 pick all year and then slip this far just based on weaknesses in your game. Any deficiencies in his game were already known when he was being touted as a top pick.

Putting in a sick note to get out of combine testing knowing you're likely going to test poorly probably isn't the best reflection of character.

Yes but I think we still have two open list spots from our main list we cut Frost, Breust, Serong, Worps and CJ

No I think the general impression was that he wasn't fit enough, and chucked a sickie to get out of the combine testing.

edit: he claimed it was a bad case of the flu, but I think that clubs have shown him what they thought. Was considered a top 10 prospect around the champs.

The AFL Draft has become very much like the NFL and NBA. Things get leaked right before the draft and scares off all the teams and the player drops. I don't remember Greeves defensive issues being mentioned until close to draft time. Ill be shocked if we don't take Greeves if he is available when we nominated him for NGA
