Once he gets some size about him he could be a beast. Josh Treacy was a rookie pick, and Arch looks a similar type. Certainly something to work with hEre!

Game is changing quick - there will be less stoppages and more need for players to get up and down the ground - Marsh is very much the modern game player that could learn to play in all zones of the ground
I also believe with the rule changes - it’s an opportunity to see RT spend more time as a ruck that can play as a 4th mid
Insane to me that he slid this far.
A few videos to watch:
Especially considering our pick 16 ended blowing out to pick 22. Having said that I would have been over the moon if our attempts to trade up for Sharp was successful, and agreed with throwing the kitchen zinc in order to try and snag him, but given the realities I am glad that we drafted for the quality available talent.Twomey had Marsh and Ludo ranked 16 and 21, respectively, in his last power rankings. Getting them for 16 and 50 looks OK.
Given where we are at now, the required midfield strategy must be to continue to try to trade very good midfielders from other clubs. It's a pity that we haven't been able to so far, but the prices have been astronomical. We've got to find one that wants to come here.Especially considering our pick 16 ended blowing out to pick 22. Well I hope so but he's not off to a great start. Dude was wandering around upstairs when his name got called out. That's a Murphy-esque lack of timing. He will make it. This is enough to prove that
Crazy how far some of these guys fall.
Swear the draft eggspurts are getting worse every year. Last year many were upset we traded in ANB for pick 28 which we needed for a player that ended up going pick 53.
This year most of the mocks had this kid in the 18 - 25 range and he gets taken at 50.
Will be a long wait, bring snacksHe’s a long term option and doesn’t need to be rushed - learn his craft under Tex, Fog and RT and target 2927/28 to challenge for a spot
Tap outs are the least valuable thing in football - not necessarily the ruck position if that player is athletic and skilled enough, then they become an extra mid. I'd rather TT didn't spend too much time jumping into other ruckmen though.Oh goodie, an opportunity to turn an All Australian key forward into the least valuable position in football!

Wouldn't have been my choice given who was still available BUT any injury to TT and the only other player like that we have on our list is T Murray, who's really still a project. So maybe more an area of need that it seems. We've seen how much we lose when Burgess has had to come in. I worry a bit about his lack of polish but getting a guy at 50 we were apparently considering with our 1st pick has to be seen as a win.
Which area lacks polish specifically? Because he has a great looking left foot kick and looks to be strong on the lead. Strength and muscle mass are the main things lacking right nowWouldn't have been my choice given who was still available BUT any injury to TT and the only other player like that we have on our list is T Murray, who's really still a project. It's the upside that is exciting here. Looks to have size and athleticism, whereas someone like Gollant didn't quite have the size and Himmelberg not quite the athleticism. If a pick 50 can turn into a key forward down the track, or even suitable back up for Thilthorpe/Fogarty in a couple of years, that'd be a win.
The immediate need for mids should be lessened with (fingers crossed) Curtin and Draper primed to enter the fray in 2026, and perhaps even Rachele.
Happy with this draft for the long term after trading for shorter term options in ANB and Ah Chee over the last couple of years.

Are we though ? .....I have the impression, we're one of the taller lists in the AFLReality is we needed height though. We are one of the shortest sides in the competition in regards to having players over 195cm.
I was ho-hum on our Draft until the Ludo pick ....rated inside the top 20 by most Phantom pundits, including TwomeyIt's the upside that is exciting here.
