I think NOD now understands the force is strong with this one.So Toby nearly sent Drizzy to the shadow realm
Has received a very clear message that his time is passing unless he can get out there.Sturt would be almost ready to retire with the list of half forwards we have have assessed. I hope not but 1 more injury.
I can only comment on his talent and not work ethic but I am very bullish on his ceiling. I was going to make some bold claims on his future but it depends on if he has the drive and discipline to achieve it. If he does, I predict he will explode athetically like Warner did. He reminds me of Schammer and Black (based off highlights).Mark my words Toby will be in the Main squad by round 10 of the season

I was too young to experience Schammer time but he looked fun from the highlights. Was he not a good player?Schammer

Won’t be much to report until new year. Had ACL repair on 15/08/2025.Has received a very clear message that his time is passing unless he can get out there.
Hopefully, I can get down to training in the next couple of weeks and provide some (probably false) hope on how he is progressing.

From his first half of season & then after the championships & being disappointed in himself & coming out and finishing the season strong I believe he’s got the discipline & drive to achieve anything tbhI can only comment on his talent and not work ethic but I am very bullish on his ceiling. Kicking was Schammer's strength when he arrived at the club. He would regularly take the kick-outs. Then we somehow turned him into a spud kick. Very similar to Paul Medhurst. Freo have the happy knack of turning elite users into butchers. Im sure we dont value skills even to this very day.

He certainly worked hard in the Gym.I played footy with and against Byron from about 10-11 years through to when he was drafted, he was never a great kick of the footy.
He was just an absolute work horse; he could run and run and run. He didn't make it to the AFL because he was an elite footballer, he made it because he was an elite worker.
It will be a shame if Sturt is not able to show us his real abilities.Sadly one of those talented players whose body will not stand up to the rigours of the AFL.Sturt would be almost ready to retire with the list of half forwards we have have assessed. I hope not but 1 more injury.
