Perth Scorchers will be backing themselves to knock over this Brisbane Heat in the final game of the season. You can just about lock Perth in the playoffs, which isn't good for signs for teams around them.

Cant see this Brisbane lot , potentially missing Chinelle Henry beating Perth at the WACA on Saturday. Expect Perth to win, and win comfortably.

Interesting to see Perrin back

Farewell match for Stalenberg? And no Coyte...

Renegades
Davina Perrin, Nicole Faltum(wk), Sophie Molineux (c), Alice Capsey, Georgia Wareham, Courtney Webb, Tess Flintoff, Deandra Dottin, Naomi Stalenberg, Sara Kennedy, Milly Illingworth

Sixers
Ellyse Perry, Sophia Dunkley, Alyssa Healy (wk), Ashleigh Gardner (c), Amelia Kerr, Maitlan Brown, Mady Villiers, Erin Burns, Emma Manix-Geeves, Caoimhe Bray, Lauren Cheatle

Gades won the toss, batting first with a bit of cloud cover around at the moment

Complete mix up between the wickets sees Gardner run out

If she took off immediately she would have been fine - but a bit of ball watching and hesitancy saw both players at the same end and the captain run out despite a desperate dive

And that was a wicket of frustration for not hitting the gaps in the first two balls of the over
Wareham then plays a very similar shot, but along the ground and gets a single

Unless Webb picked up an injury in the field, not sure why we didn't open with her or just move Stalenberg to open if we wanted a different look

Faltum has actually been pretty solid in the middle order, and had a few goods partnerships with Wareham, so feels a mistake moving her

lol how is the professional fielder getting a game

If they're using this same wicket tomorrow for the Stars vs Thunder match, the bat flip winner surely opts to bat first

I know it's a little overcast today, but not many of the batsman, outside of Perry & Gardner, have really looked in and set

It does just seem to be holding up a touch and can't imagine it'll get significantly better to bat on tomorrow

This is a really frustrating game for Gades fans

I genuinely think that was the best we've looked in the field this season - I know we rolled the Thunder cheaply, but this felt a more rounded effort, especially against a team that was in good form

And batting wise, there was a couple of disappointing early wickets, but a very well constructed partnership from these two 86 runs in about 42 balls

It's super frustrating as we likely still miss finals, where one more win could have seen us in - but hopefully we learn something ahead of next season

oh it's almost finals time?!

4 matches to be played between tonight and Sunday

"Knockout" is Tuesday

"Challenger" is Thursday

Final is on Saturday and will be hosted by Hobart, with 2nd through 4th still up for grabs

If Adelaide sneaks into 4th, I wonder if they'll opt to stay in Sydney following Sundays match as that would surely make more sense than flying home when they'd likely be playing either Sydney or Melbourne on Tuesday
