The Windies are having a tough old time over in NZ.

NZ are 0-233 currently. By the sounds of it, there's been very few chances either.

The Windies' bowling is generally pretty decent too (although Shamar isn't playing). Dead wicket?

I agree mate, I much prefer seeing a genuine contest. Aside from the India tours here in recent years it largely becomes a precession here, the results are inevitable. This really is paltry from England. A capitulation.

Series in Australia have been one sided affairs for 40-50 years at this point barring a few exceptions. It most certainly isn't recent.

Tight series aren't what's keeping Aus crowds interested, in fact, when we lose a series at home the nation goes into meltdown trying to retire half the side and the print media rhetoric ramps up about how the Shield is failing Australian cricket and other hyperbolic mumbo jumbo.

It’s only a contest in terms of England’s 9th wicket being a 100 run partnership after starting at 8/168.

It makes it at least interesting, the deficit is still quite large however. If England somehow tear through the top order here maybe there’s a 4th innings chase to view. But they’re so far behind in the game that all takes is one or two big partnerships and it’s out of sight for them.

At the peak of Bazball a few years ago, England would be a decent chance of a big 4th innings chase like this. But now there’s every chance the match is over today. That was pretty ordinary from Duckett. Bit of a nothing poke when all you have to do is dig in for a few minutes until lunch.
