Sorry mate but they've already been doing it this year and before. Crisp played wing/HB most of the year. Sidey wing and tagger with occasional pops forward and Pendles only attends CB's on occasions and will be playing off HB this year

Which was a major factor in finishing the season 1-6 against decent teams.

We look forward to the development of our younger players over summer. If not, like most teams, likely to be missing the eight.

Fagan like McRae and Clarkson is a skilled coach who gets positive footy out of a range of players.

Its fair to say (like us) Lions had some luck with f/s, and the academy has gone some way to countering #VICBIAS.

All three coaches are trying to be the next Scott, whose sustained success is the 21st century benchmark.

All three could go past him, but theres a way to go yet.

Important players who are only going one way... worse than this year. It's ok, you won your flag, you got the 2nd one for Pendles, you cleared up history so there's no more Colliwobbles bs, your club is semi-respectable now (all the stuff which is important to some).

But the dynasty is over, long over, at the moment it's propped up by the 2nd best player in the game and his semi-squib genius of a brother. Nothing wrong with that. But if you wanna have a dynasty, you'll need to rebuild... this isn't really opinion, this is fact. Those arguing against it are oxygen and bandwidth thieves.

Probably need to correct you here. Collingwood havent had a dynasty team since the late 1920's-early30's. They are about to raise the bat on that.

Sorry, while that would have been a wonderful time to be a Collingwood fan (I'm sure), it is as relevant as our VFA dynasty in the highest standard we were permitted to play; 1903, 1904, 1910, 1914, 1915, 1918.

And we're minnows with no fans and no money.

In the big leagues it's 3 v 2. 4v4 in the last 50! Slightly more relevant, I'd say. And as great as they were a few years back, I'd happily wage them whatever they want on which of our teams genuinely contend next.

I'm not saying they won't make WW, as I'm sure they're more than capable of finishing 10th, but they aren't in Premiership contention. Any non-Woodsman can tell them that much. Again, who cares, they won a few years back.

They'll likely be back up sooner than Richmond as they're rebuilding with a couple of Daicos' who are #2 & Top 20 (and >24) in the entire league, a fair head start, let's be real.

Buller is unproven, but compared to Mihocek at the same age he's a gilt edged prospect.

Its frankly silly to suggest Mihocek was showing AFL standard forward potential when we pulled him out of the hat.

The answer is yes. Its a fair question, but its not as definite as "Collingwood is going over a cliff".

We are taking similar steps we've taken before, and hoping for similar results.

I think Buller is a great get. A Swan mate of mine thinks he was traded out because he was less marketable than the Swans othe KPFs.

That sounds crazy, but the AFL has done crazy things to Sydney before, from Cappers shorts to Buddy's "injuries".

Who knows? Time will tell.

We were in premiership contention in 2025. There's a good chance that with a good run of injuries were are close again in 2026.

What's a rebuild?

Is that what teams who can't build and maintain a competitive playing list do to sell hope to their members?

Collingwood did a rebuild under Buckley from 2014-2017 and showed it can be done without finishing in the bottom 4. If they rebuild under McRae it'll be similar eg finishing mid table and not bottoming out.
