The pitch has been horrific, but that was an inexcusable batting performance. I’d somewhat understand if they went down swinging, but most of the dismissals were just ridiculously soft. So many nothing shots with no foot movement or plan at all.

I know it doesn’t really matter, but you hate to see this utterly mediocre England side taking the piss like this. So annoying.

This team isn’t fit to whitewash anyone. They certainly don’t deserve to. The gap between them and the teams of the past who whitewashed England in Australia is akin to the Grand Canyon.

If anything, leading 3-0 is a pleasant surprise, considering everything (injuries to key bowlers, unsettled batting lineup).

This is was Test cricket has descended to. Batters going out and having a slog and hoping it comes off, bowlers just roughly putting it in the right area and letting the pitch do the rest. All over well within two days.

This seemed inevitable to me. Whether it be the openers, Brook, Bethell, etc, a few of them were bound to fluke a decent score throwing the bat and win the game.

TBH, England should have won the 1st Test given the position they were and 2-2 going into the SCG. We aren't that good to whitewash them 5-0 with big questions around 3 of the 11 players.
