We also give away our gas to multi corporations for free..

we are the teachers pet.

I've been thinking about this recently. Gough Whitlam wanted to nationalise our resources, keep the money for Australians. This is noble and right. But had he done that, we'd just be strong-armed and potentially invaded by the US anyway.

Venezuela is now a subsidiary of the Trump Corporation.
Don Jr. to be installed as President of Venezuela.

I’ve always wondered also how Norway has gotten away with it …
I suppose they way the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund invests back into the worlds economies is one way.

If we’re genuinely fearful for our own safety, we’ve chosen the wrong side.

Electing a rapist pedo as president openly taking others oil is confirmation this empire is dying.

If we’re smart, get every American military personnel out, rip up AUKUS, and start currying favour with nations who will be able to guarantee our security.

At the moment we’re alligned with a state, and it will be open season on them within 20 years.

Who is going to guarantee our security?
Look at Ukraine,, Gaza… Africa.

You don’t need to be invaded … in fact you can argue we already have been invaded…. A few times.
Mainly by multinational corporations.
invade from the north, have to deal with all their shit getting stolen

We're never going to be a major power that can stand against the full military might of a country like the US or China etc..

But we can be sufficiently armed enough that our geographic advantages puts it in the too hard basket.

More likely it'll just be economic pressure anyway, invading and holding a country like Australia would be a pain in the ass for minimal gain when you can just buy the shit you want anyway.

...or we'd have built our own nukes and told them to back off.

We are at a geographic advantage. The USA views us integral to their national security because of our access to Asia. However they can't conquer is because of size so it's best to keep us as an ally. China know this so while they threaten us an posture they know it's too hard because the USA and the UK will come to our aid. Combined with 3qrts of the terrain being something no country's military would be used to it really does place us in an advantageous position.

That doesn't mean we escape, our enemies could just sit back and bomb our infrastructure and military bases with little effort and the USA nor the UK would probably step in.

Also. Any trump hotels/golf courses in Venezuela will have insurance premiums higher than some GDPs.

This fat pedo campaigner will be as cursed as Hitler in a few years. Hopefully his family won’t have a day of peace in their lives.
He needs to be replaced as soon as possible as the US president by whatever means it takes

Is Albanese going to stay silent when Trump invades Cuba and Greenland as well?
