The one most at risk (in terms of borderline best XI in both formats and will get games) for me is Elliott. Would play in all shield sides bar maybe WA when they have Richo, Paris etc playing

Since moving to opener he's averaging the most of any opener in the country over the last 3 seasons (10 inns min) at 43.

But 750 runs at over 100 in Premier Firsts while also playing some U19 cricket means he should get an opportunity soon. Maybe at the expense of the injured Marcus Harris whose had his time in the game.

Harry Dixon is another one he could replace but Tom Rogers just now 217 no in a 2nd 11 game.Afraid we can not fit them all in .I might be wrong but I think Peake might not be available next game due to World U19 Cup duties.BUT doubt they would bring in new players into the shield side so late in the season like Chowna.

Harris, Short, Peake and Maxwell will be unavailable for the first game back. Rogers likely slots into that Peake/Short spot at 5. Kell opening. 2x Dixon, McDonald and Brasher for the other opening spot and 3.

Not sure I even have Short or Harris as locks. For mine they're battling Dixon and MacDonald for 2 batting spots. With Rogers and Brasher in the wings too. Not bad.
