I’ve lost my faith in negative Port fans on Big Footy

Talk about white ants . I can’t believe the amount of negativity surrounding just about everything at the club at the moment . The Chairman , the president , the coach .
If I hated everything about the club so much I’d keep away until I was happy .
There’s some smart and passionate people here , that’s why I keep coming on for information etc .
But weeding through the vitriol is quite tiresome .
I love the club and support them through hell and high water .
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the same people saying how good we are after a few wins .

Quick question Davo. Are you allowed to vent on here if you are really infuriated with the direction that the club is going and if you have no recourse to actually affect change at the club? Or are we only allowed to say nice things?

I would have thought the amount of negativity would be a red flag to the club that members are severely disengaged and perhaps they should do something about it.

Who said we don't love the club? What would you know? It's because we love the club that we question the direction of the club, the decision makers and the decisions made. It's not only our responsibility but our right as members.

Following and supporting a club is one thing. Blind faith and loyalty is another.

The second leaves you open to being taken advantage of and brainwashed and manipulated into into being a voiceless servant or a parrot.

It's essentially like this.

If your house is on fire but the other person in the house attempts to gaslight you by saying "You don't know what you're talking about, everything is fine."

Do you:

A) Question their statement and get out of the house.
or
B) Accept their statement and remain inside of the house.

I agree with everyone! You ladies (LilyC & Powergirl) are correct that some things have been poorly/incorrectly handled, and the admin needs to told and held to account. Love seeing some of our greats openly stating their disagreement with the club's direction.

But Davo is also correct. Some of the constant rhetoric from supporters has been way over the top. The point has been clearly made, and line clearly drawn - Fail, and the KKK's will have to fall on their sword. The constant negativity now and attacks between members who differ in views is to me almost cancerous.

Cant wait till the footy starts so that we can throw off this black pall!

You’re sick of wading through literally thousands of posts bitching about every single thing the club does, complaints that people have no interest in the club anymore and hate everyone in the administration? You’re seriously saying you don’t enjoy reading endless diatribes about how everything has gone to shit and the club can never get anything right? You don’t enjoy reading of utter misery when trying to read and talk more about something you love and enjoy?
