The Suns are in for a very painful year. Expect the kids are going to get hammered and struggle with the amount of game time they are going to play.

Did Rankine do a hamstring today? Pity if he did as he was looking very good so far.

Other than Swallow (and even he is debatable) has Gold Coast ever drafted a big bodied midfielder?

They have Will Brodie in the wings. Not sure why he’s been absent during the JLT. I assume some injury niggle.

He’s not going to come in and transform the midfield overnight but he should be ready to start making some difference to the GC midfield.

Bowes is another with a bit of size about him. He didn’t have a particularly good game today but he’s on track to become a decent player.

Certainly had an issue. This is what happens though as their bodies are not used to the need for such continuous speed.
