Ok Had a good look at the Golden Slipper, Cosmic Force is a huge false favourite. Bivouac beat it on a heavy 2 starts ago then got beaten 1.8 lengths Yes Yes yes, $60 is huge overs, having said that from what i see if Tenley handles the wet it just wins. been running the fastest times on days that count and has been doing it fairly easily.

Heavy track though.

Watch race though

Won on the soft back in the Spring - ludicrous premium in the price for him 'not handling the conditions'. Was odds on last start in a far better field than this. This is the exact opposite of a watch race - looks a cracking bet.

Why doesn’t Shillelagh beat him again?

Because I'm expecting him to perform better than he did last time out when nowhere near his best. And he was $1.50 to beat her last time - got beaten less than 1.5 lengths and is now approaching $4? Mad overreaction.

Your cash. It’s my biggest lay of the weekend.

Some people are getting this wrong I think.

I don't want to back him personally, BUT I've read many punters talking like his last run was some type of accurate reflection of the form. No, it wasn't. He underperformed. He was smashing these types in the leadups and it wasn't the trip that brought him undone.

Not sure why he was so plain, but he is better than these full stop - now you get $4. If you don't like him, fine, but don't act like he was $1.60 for no reason last time.

Did they ever come up with a reason for last start?
Not a convincing one. Copped a clod to the eye in the run (???) and for some reason Cummings mentioned he thought the horse was underdone for that race and needed the run.

I think the latter is a blatant lie and the eye injury is perhaps a reason for fragile animals but hardly something you'd re-mortgage the house on.

Same tempted to take to the $5.75 with odds boost... or do I hold until tomorrow when the Nature Strip fappers load up

Lol at backing Nature Strip. Cat 101.

The way he moved up when the gap opened you would think he wins by 5, but stopped dead

What do Nature Strip fans like about him tomorrow? Waller is saying they need to teach him to settle (negative ride?) he's drawn wide so if he jumps he'll be pulling his head off and if he doesn't (not a brilliant gate horse) he's ****ed.

What part of that screams good bet as 2nd fave? **** sake lads, lift.
