Significantly under-strength against an almost full strength crows on their own dung heap, playing against that crowd and the crowd-pleading umpiring, even if we end up losing this, even if we have an average year, you can tell Clarko the genius is building towards something once again.

Most others hate in the replacement option's also.
Would think he should be admired for getting the most out if his limited ability, that's right limited ability, not one player he is to be replaced with at the moment, Brand, O'Brien or Shoey have shown star the quality people are looking for. Heaven help anyone that has to play his role because they are all limited.

Firstly, what is holding the ball and how does one get a free kick for it? I don't think we've been rewarded one yet and there has been many contests where we should have. Crows have had some too but they've occasionally had them paid. Frustrating to let the rolling scrum go when legal disposal isn't happening. /End rant

Onto the game, Worpel was huge in that quarter, really dragged us into the game after the Crows got a run on. O'Meara has been solid and he's all class. Ceglar and McEvoy have done well in the ruck but we probably need a little more from them around the ground. Cousins has been a little disappointing with his disposal, seems to be rushing his kicks and not settling himself.

Defensively we've been pretty good, a few times we've had all go up Android no one start down at a contest but thankfully it hasn't hurt us too much. Frawley is doing a great job, hasn't been beaten in a contest that I recall. Sicily reads the play so well and got some extra attention in the second quarter after having a field day in the first term. Scrimshaw has shown a lot and Mirra has been solid.

Ahead of the ball, our forward pressure has been excellent, Nash really does add something at ground level when we are applying pressure. His work with the ball is not so great and he has just handballed at every opportunity which may have been the instruction. Can't recall him having a kick... Bruest looks dangerous and Roughead is finding the ball.

Plenty to like but another half to go. Hopefully we can carry that momentum from late in the second term into the second half.
