An impressive road win against Adelaide where the Hawks have now won 10 out of 11 against the Crows. :D

Western Bulldogs at the MCG next week with Wingard and Scully edging closer to selection. Going to be a long season for opposition fans on here who tipped Hawthorn to miss the eight. They never learn. :$:thumbsu:

Round 2: Western Bulldogs (MCG)
Round 3: North Melbourne (MCG)
Round 4: St Kilda (MS)

Worpel: 27 disposals - 4 marks - 3 tackles - 6 clearances - 8 inside 50s - 2 goals
Sicily: 26 disposals - 10 marks - 15 rebound 50s
O'Meara: 24 disposals - 3 marks - 5 tackles - 5 clearances - 5 inside 50s - 2 goals
Cousins: 18 disposals - 4 marks - 6 tackles - 3 inside 50s - 2 goals
Morrison: 17 disposals - 6 tackles - 3 inside 50s

No youth!

Haha come on WWSD it's Round 1. Bit early to say Hawks will be certain finalists.

Great tough away win to start the year though.

That Worple you speak of, is he the same kid that was captain of the Geelong Falcons TAC cup team, Co captain of the Vic country squad.
Must have been hiding in plain sight of the Geelong recruiting staff.

With where our current squad development is at, I'm still expecting an inconsistent year. We'll have some great wins like yesterday, and then we'll probably have some shockers and lose to someone like GC. I think we'll play finals though. Be good to actually win one!

I worry about our young players getting tired towards the end of the year. Depth will be super important. We actually need early wins for this reason

We should be more like Essendon and save our energy. They were quite conservative with it on the weekend which should leave plenty of reserves for later on in the year

Stats show that the first say five to eight weeks are going to tell something...
Stats also purport to say that the bombers have a looooooooooong way to go...
And so the sermon is that the "wild west is not yet conquered."..

What gives me hope is Wingard and scully coming in and I'm genuinely excited by our group of 28 and under in o'meara , wingard, impey, gunston, scully, hardwick , worpel and Morrison . What doesnt is our kpp depth i think its one spot on the field if we cop an injury to one of the starting 22 we are in trouble, heres hoping the mitchell injury is all the bad luck gone for the year .
