Richmond without Rance is a lot like a car without wheels.

They look absolutely clueless down back without him

Because he would instill a minimum required standard for anybody that comes in far higher than it would be currently. He wasn't the most talented defender but **** me he put his heart on his sleeve and lead one of the biggest clubs in the league to premiership success, all because he commanded respect of the playing group that had some notorious party boys amongst it. Get him in charge of development of younger kids.

Worsfold was a better player than Maxwell and did the same things on field too. It doesn't seem to have commanded their respect.

Richmond were actually lucky the margin was only 44 points.

Collingwood destroyed them all over the ground tonight. Felt more like a 10 goal+ smashing

Huge out if true. Balta, Garthwaite for Grimes (susp) and Riewoldt next week?

Richmond’s top players really covered the flaws of their bottom players. Already a little exposed without Rance, Houli and (largely) Riewoldt.

Could be in trouble next week against GWS.

I’ve broken that bone twice. It’s a bit of a campaigner

Isn't that the one that has very little blood flow so heals incredibly slowly?

Yeah and as a result the bone can actually die from just not getting blood when it’s damaged. You have to put the cast on as if you’re holding a drink to keep it spread out.

So Richmond already have two forced changes next week. Grimes (I would be gobsmacked if he doesn't get done) and Riewoldt for Balta and Garthwaite?

so two of Richmond's holy trinity are out - it was always said if they ever lost Rance, Voldt and Nank theyd be in trouble..

they had an incredibly good run with injuries all this time, now the chickens are coming home to roost, in years to come I reckon they will regret what happened last year as much as we do 1999

They might regret the Prelim last year but I don't think they really get a say in the matter. Collingwood has better group of players bringing the same heat and able to dominate truly contested footy.

The forward line has all of the mobility and provides all the pressure but it's also got as much class as any other group.

They're pretty scary, the Pies. I just hope they bring the heat on ANZAC day.

Good call, that window is usually so tiny, blink & you miss it.

is holding the ball, keeping possession and pinpointing passes around the back half the key to dismantling Richmond? It pulls their set up , up the ground a bit so you can poke some holes in it or go over the top.

Everytime we try it we stagnate, end up kicking long up the line and they force it back to goal in number.

What I notice about Richmond is their great strength can also be their weakness. They were feared for their full on attack and move it on at all costs football - now when it goes bad they don't seem to have a slow gear, they seem rushed. There still needs to be a time when you can gear down, hold the ball a little bit and soak up some time.
