Murphy was fine but will always be rough by foot. I'd have him and Jacobs as outs. Jones gets another week, but will need to spend time in the SANFL soon.

Interesting thoughts. I thought Murphy's forward pressure was exactly what we needed. He and Jones were really good in that department, and Jones had a few clever shots and goal he flubbed.

24 pressure acts (3rd) and 6 score involvements for Murphy. Team high 8 score involvements for Jones plus nearly 400 meters gained and 19 pressure acts. That's from only 12 touches. 8 score involvements from 12 touches is seriously value for money

I'd persist with Jones for a few more weeks and find another way to get Greenwood in (Mackay)

Wonder if the 100 meter penalty is included in that?

What percentage chance would you give David of playing as well or better next week?

This is the key question surrounding him throughout his entire career. We always overestimate the answer

Betts deserves to be dropped before Jones. Will retire this year imo. Has had a great career and will be a great achievent to get to 300 games.

I dont think Jones being out means he is dropped. Certainly not on form.

It means we have Greenwood in the team and the most junior player is out.

Also let the kid go down to SANFL level and learn how to dominate a game.

I think unchanged is the most likely scenario.

I am cautious on Jacobs. From comments and what I saw JJ in the ruck we seemed to structure better. I shall check the game at midnight

Agree, Jacobs definitely out. Mackay SANFL but he will be picked. Jenkins should be dropped but won't. Walker was poor early but lifted in the 2nd half. Betts imo is finished but will be played until he hits 300 games and then played based on form. Forward line is still very dysfunctional and must be fixed to make finals. We beat a bottom 4 side tonight so the win must viewed as such.

That was easily his best ever AFL game tonight, some of his pressure acts went a long way towards a lot of our scoring tonight
