Whats brought about 7 Trump threads? I'm guessing its the election of one of the most divisive, brash, outspoken political figures in history. He's not exactly a 'normal' candidate is he?

You do know an abortion is a traumatic experience aswell don’t you that has the potential to scar or cause it’s own mental health implications . It’s not just about education , it’s about support and awareness of the actual procedure and helping people cope with what they are about to go through . It should be provided after the procedure aswell .

Another reason why that part of the process should include speaking to experts is how do you know a woman is not being forced to go through something she does not want to do . The implications around that could be devastating.

It’s not all black and white mate, white, If people don’t agree with your way of thinking it means they are trying to shame woman or have sinister beliefs

It’s not like going to get a tooth pulled or a cyst cut out .

I'm talking about the various anti-abortion laws and policies in the US, and in Australia to some extent.

They are designed to discourage, shame, guilt, reduce availability. All with the aim of controlling the woman, not supporting the woman.

Optional counseling is needed, not mandatory restrictions.

Support and funding are a responsibility of our public health system. Countries all over the world fail at this. Most policies that seek to limit or "educate" have people with selfish motivations behind them.

Many US states pull all sorts of tricks to control abortion, so Federal funding is vital.

The US state laws requiring women to watch videos of abortions come to mind*. Was I required to watch a video of kidney stones being removed before my operation? No I was given information so I could make an informed choice about undergoing the procedure.

EDIT: This is actually - ultrasound must be performed and woman must be asked if she wants to see it, heaping on more guilt and trauma.

Thing is people who AREN'T Trumpists are more likely to find this behaviour repulsive. Trumpists seem not to be bothered by it. Some would genuinely believe women and kids bring it on themselves, or that it doesn't even happen.
